New artisan item - Lantern.
Lets you see exits in heavy rain and fog. Must be lit with a tinderbox.

Why stop at a lantern? How about an umbrella, created by artisans to protect from extreme heat (kind of), and rain?
Or allow artisans to create barricades, that operate like other walls?

The ability to RELAX INSOMNIA or to INSOMNIA OFF would be useful (while a minor thing) for those who wish to fall asleep without passing out.
This would also benefit those with dreamweaving control up that wish to go to sleep either to dreamweave or just to rest for whatever reason.

Smoking coltsfoot cures insomnia.

So I learned after I was posted this

You can sleep with Control up too.
Enyalida2012-01-31 17:10:31
Though even with control, you should be using insomnia!

A variant of firstaid for Wounds, similar to how parry works.
You'd assign out of a total of 100%, to the various limbs.
Then you would add together the current wounds for each bodypart to arrive at total wounds.
Apply the percentage of your wound treatment focus to the total wounds.
Subtract the result from the actual wound count.
The limb with the highest difference between the two is treated.
Ex.
Wound treatment weighting: 40% head, 30% lleg, 30% rleg
Current wounds: 900 head, 0 lleg, 1200 rleg
Total wounds: 2100
Threshhold weight totals after % is applied: 840 head, 700lleg, 700rleg
Actual to threshold difference: 60 head, -700lleg, 500rleg
Result: Apply health to rleg
(If anyone has a better suggestion for how to handle this, please offer it. I think something to address wounds would be a great addition to the awesome work that's already gone into making the 'entry level' into lusternia much more friendly.)

Any chance we can get Clover artefacts sold in the same way magic lips are? Say 25-40 credits per clover for 4 plucks?
Unknown2012-02-01 21:06:19
EDIT: Nevermind, there's some new herb syntaxes in HELP HERBS that get around the issue. Moving on.

Maybe have an option on dwellers that allows them to make items from clans you're in? But, it would have to be a dweller that resets to a manse, and also that manse has to have the manse artifact that would let them make items (ie - bindery for a librarian dweller, kitchen for a chef dweller, etc). I want to have a personal chef in my manse, who can make me cup cakes on demand. Aeral makes lots of cup cakes, but she isn't always around, heeeeeh.
Unknown2012-02-02 06:30:21
Seems like it would have to be linked to your tradeskills. And with Skillflexing, that could get messy.
Shulamit2012-02-02 12:40:19
Not neccesarily linked to tradeskill, but to trades you are part of? As in, trades I'm a member of a cartel for. I'm a member of a cooking cartel, but I don't actually have the trade. Let's say I buy the chef denizen, as long as I stay a member of the cooking cartel, he can make food from that cartel, as long as he's assigned to reappear in the manse, and the manse has a cooking place. That way it doesn't have to worry about skillflexing, but it'll still be expensive (also, the denizen wouldn't have trade artifacts, still making it so that if one could find a real chef, it would be better)
Enyalida2012-02-02 19:58:54
I don't see that ever happening, and for good reason. Even if it's somewhat expensive, I'd be miffed if I had one of the less profiting tradeskills (like artisan) and you could just bypass tradespeople completely.

Bowling and/or pool (or snooker/billiards, if you prefer). Just putting it out there.
Lendren2012-02-02 20:59:09
How about a demigod power (not ascendant only) that allowed a certain amount of immunity to natural (not shamanically-induced) weather? That seems like a very godly thing, and it might help with that endless struggle to come up with stuff that demigods could buy that wouldn't imbalance things but still be worth buying.

Er, last time I used my ignite enchantment on an icewall it worked with exactly the syntax you are describing... when was that removed?
Malarious2012-02-03 05:45:49
Ninja O_O
Used to have to dictate wall type. At least it was making me <.<

I've been using it this way since I first bought an ignite enchantment.
Which, admittedly, was not for a year or two.
