Let beast balance appear on the prompt.
Yes please and include it in GMCP too!

There's a report for that.

No there isn't; there's one for mounted status (currently).
It probably will require a separate report for that one, at least that's the impression I got.

Beast balance on prompt/GMCP doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Your beast isn't always with you.
Mounted status is easy enough to track through a few triggers.

If it's not with you, you have the balance, since you're not using it. It's superfluous at those times, sure, but I don't see the harm in having it. If you don't have or use a beast, let it be a toggle like arm balance. I can toggle that on whenever I want, but unless I'm a warrior or a monk, it's not doing a whole lot for me.
Ssaliss2012-06-11 16:12:59
Or the balance could be -1 if it's not there, like the locked/open/unbalanced psi-channels.
Unknown2012-06-11 16:38:16
I'd like a more reliable way to track my beast, of course, but it just seems a little out of place.

Kafe status is easy enough to track through a few triggers, too...
That doesn't mean it's not helpful to have it very clear, no matter how you get dislodged. Or have your kafe stripped.

I'd be fine with removing kafe from the prompt. I'm also fine with adding mounted status. I thought there were bigger issues with Cavalier, but I realize many abilities rely on being mounted, too. *shrug*

It's not just abilities; it also affects your wounding and damage.
At some point we're going to get a Cavalier special report and we can work on some of the bigger things, in the meantime I'm trying to just shape it up a little bit.
And if the report takes too long, we can tackle some of those in the upcoming envoy sessions as well!

I think kafe should be left right where it is, quite frankly. I don't have a problem with mounted status showing up on the prompt either. It's an option.
My own request:
Now that you can COAT/ENVENOM LEFT/RIGHT, I was wondering if we could get a small tweak to gmcp flags to make it easier to tell which weapon is in which hand. Right now wielded items use the "l" attribute. Would it be possible to make wielded items in the right hand use "r" and wielded items in the left hand use "l"? I understand that the flags work in the current way across all IRE games so it might not be possible, but just throwing that out there.
It's currently possible to make a fairly efficient auto-envenomer, but something like that would eliminate the need to check WIELDED to confirm which hand a weapon is held in. Makes it all nice and seemless.

Since vials decay in stockrooms and thus are a pain to keep stock for nublets, could there be an achievement akin to learning Curing in Discipline that rewards nublets their lessons back for learning Glasswork in Arts? Would encourage them to pick up the skill so they can make their own vials, anyway.

By all that is holy PLEASE give mentors a way to reject protegés. I have had to snub one particularly irritating embarassment just to stop listening to the drunken, unconnected-to-reality nonsense that spews every single time I log in. I have no way to prevent this person from seeing me log in. I haven't been her mentor in any meaningful sense since like a week after her chargen when she proceeded to reveal her true colors all over the commune's laws and aethers, making an embarassment of herself and by extension me, but I have no means of breaking the relationship's mechanical consequences. If there is some kind of bizarre way that people could abuse this, put some precautions in about it somehow, but please make it possible.

Introduce a chancellor log, which would show:
Taxes being forgiven
Taxes being paid
Shops changing hands (yes, this currently shows in the normal logs, but could easily show in both)
Shops being opened
Shops being closed
Stockrooms being expanded
Taxrates being adjusted
Shop values being adjusted
Also, if chancellors were able to forgive future taxes, that'd be awesome, and I don't think it'd be a cause for concern about abuse (they could just as easily not pay taxes anyway). Plus, with the logs it'd quickly become apparent if they abused it anyway.

Let icediggers drop gold akin to the gold that garghasts / garshades / etc. do in the Catacombs.
They'll actually be worth hunting, then!

New option in Stamps. Rather then just making a stamp item, let a bookbinder designate a ring as a Signet Ring as an alternative.

It'd be nice if there were a short command such as ROOMNUM so that one might see the room number of a room without checking MAP. I've run into a couple of blind players who could benefit from this in conjunction with the PATH FIND mechanism, since what they can "see" of the MAP with the help of their screen reader is ansi code.
Edit:
On that note, I imagine the power quest in Hallifax is also a bit difficult for blind novices since one must wade through item numbers of the spheres to figure out which colors to combine and hand to NPCs. Perhaps a short name to specify which sphere you mean, such as redsphere or carminesphere could work? For example, GIVE PURPLESPHERE TO LARS.
Thanks for your consideration.

Like the Vengeance observation/listening room, allow people who are BACKSTAGE to hear what is being said in the main stage room.
Tacita2012-06-18 19:08:21
On a similar note - allow people in the Vengeance observation room to see emotes from inside the game as well as says. I.e. they're watching the whole action, not part of it. :)
