That's actually a somewhat realistic feature, which I'm sure is probably quite accidental.
Meteorites picked up immediately (I do mean immediately, and yes, that's incredibly rare) after falling to the Earth are either cold or, at most, uncomfortably hot to the touch. As far as scientists are aware, no meteorite has ever been the cause of a fire.
Of course, this is Lusternia and Astrology is basically magic, and we all want flamin' meteors, so carry on. I just find the accidental realism amusing.

When a Meteor hits in Lusternia, it's described as an annihilating holocaust, so it does seem kind of odd it would have anything to do with cold meteorites IRL.

Could we perhaps get a frogge/scabbard equivalant for shields?
Mainly for rp purposes, I'd love for Uruk to be able to run about with a shield on his back or be able to wield one plus a sword without having to drop gripping all the time.
Edit: After looking online for a little bit, these did exist. They were called Guige's and were generally just a leather strap that allowed the shield to be hung from the back/shoulder while not in use, or when one's hands were otherwise occupied. (With say a spear or what not.)

Can the amount of things we can rift scale with our skill in Planar(With 2,000 as base for herbs), please? I'd really prefer storing things in the rift than in pocketbelts.

I would also be cool with replacing GateMaster with RiftMaster.

Interesting idea. I'd support it, but I don't have trans planar, so I can't really compare how useful gatemaster is.

I've had similar ponderings myself, but personally I'd prefer if you get to store a little in the rift with basic Planar (perhaps 200-300 herbs) which then expands as you learn more, ending up at considerably more space than you have right now (3000'ish or more). Nigh-endless rifts would be sweet though, but I don't see it happening personally as it would make one enchantment more or less useless.
Also, artifacts to extend rifts, please.

Gatemaster is like going to your doctor and finding out you have cancer, then him giving medication to treat your herpes. But you don't have herpes.

Unless you raid a lot, I don't see any use for GateMaster. It's kind of annoying to have transed planar for Conglutinate, a utility skill everyone wanted, then get a niche raiding tool instead. Also, GateMaster is really annoying.

I was kinda surprised when I came back to discover I suddenly had Conglutinate.

I had a thought for Trans Planar a while back that went along the lines of "Trans Planar skill should let you skip a plane at nexii." Dunno why I didn't post it, really.

Probably for the same reason I don't post my simple ideas anymore:
The odds of them being implemented are roughly equivalent to the odds of a Batmobile constructed entirely of winning lottery tickets being struck by lightning. Twice.
While it's understandable that the admins don't rush to implement every little idea that's ever posted, the odds are a tad soul-crushing.

As someone who lives in a commune and owns several transplanar artifacts, I dislike the idea of "skip a plane," especially for a Transcendent ability.

Another idea about splendours: the only reason having multiple splendours is a combat balance issue is that you might have one really good cutting set to wear when fighting blademasters, and one really good blunt set to wear when fighting bonecrushers. So how about this, for those of us who want to be more fashionable (especially now that we can do suits and gowns), or for those of us with multiple body configurations (changelings and/or genderchangers). If you try to make a second set of splendours, instead of the first set vanishing, you have to spend a fully charged powerstone as well as the regular commodities, and the resulting splendours come out pre-enchanted to precisely the same stats as your first set. (You still have to proof them, of course.)
Now there's no reason why a second set would have any practical benefit other than fashion. (It doesn't even make sense to say it saves you anything to have a second set waiting for when your first decay or go tawdry, because you aren't saving anything to make them earlier or later.)
Since the code has to be checking for your first set of splendours already (so it can delete them), it can't be too hard for it to instead copy their stats, so I bet this wouldn't be very hard to implement.

Will you support the rift limit scaling as well?
Unknown2010-05-24 14:56:22
I'm all for a bigger rift, sure. It'd probably be better done with artifacts than lessons invested in Planar, however.

Who knows until you share them?
Doman2010-05-24 20:03:26
Well, they range from making a tiny mini nexus, which you can charge and draw from, to something like super tesseract, to "linking" yourself to a plane which would give you a bonus depending on the plane. Astral would lower insanity, your cosmic would give a stat bonus and give you regen on the plane, elemental would make you immune to its "Waves" and

I was thinking with the nexus skill in Planar - the name of it escapes me at the moment (unless it's called Nexus).
It's funny that as a Cantor (Bard Archetype) I am unable to get to any of the linked Planes for the Pool of Stars, but if I travel to Serenwilde (or any other org) and use their nexus, I can.
Perhaps for getting that nexus skill, one should be able to get to the linked planes for their own org as well - ie for Pool of Stars that would be Water and Celestia; for Megalith it would be Nil and Earth etc. etc.

Nexus should be lower in Planar. In it's place should be an ability to allow us to tranverse to linked planes, so that I could use the Matrix to access Air the same an Aeromancer can, for example.
