It would be nice to be able to touch various parts or lets say tattoos, and it comes out as an attack.
For example lets take bob. Bob is a guardian, of lets say hallifax.

Bob looks at you squarely and says, "You don't want to ***k with me."
Bob flourishes his right forearm and touches a tattoo in the shape of a phoenix.
You see a phoenix come out from the tattoo and attack you, burning you.

Firstaid

You have level 2 burns.

Then in an epic fight scene, you would see one person turning around and touching various parts of himself or herself for various attacks.
And of course.
Bob flourishes his left foot and bends down to reach it, but cannot reach past his knees.

Bob has died. You see the death in the pinnacle of stupidity.

But really, how cool would that be? Is it possible to create a system in order to attack other people or denzins with touching parts of your body, without the added text of "casts his hand back and juts it outwards, burning you with blue fire".

And you can get tattoos made for specific purposes, as in real tattoos that people can examine, not ones in your description. Imagine having a fight, and in a spit of anger, you remove your shirt and places your fingers on your shoulders, summoning a cyclone to decimate your enemies...

I think i'm procrastinating too much. Back to art final...

A: No..
B: Phoenixes are a Gaudiguch thing. Thunderbirds are Hallifax.
C: ...No.

Because in the old days, only city warriors had that problem, i.e. 33% of 66% (22%) of the playerbase, and it was flavorful. I guess after monks and bards came out, no one decided to take a look at the issue. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal anyways. Do what Mag does, or just bum a ride off of a Celestine or Aqua or something.

EDIT: Fixed for diamondais

It was addressed with constructs: two of the city constructs gave access to their elemental and cosmic planes, respectively. When constructs were removed (or, er, restricted, but who's seriously not going to raise their major org construct?), it was not addressed again.

Man, it's been so long I totally forgot about those buggers sad.gif I miss you coral pearl thing! And you too angelfont!
Sylphas2010-05-27 18:51:53
We discussed putting up the ethereal defense construct, but it would kill our utility in order to make people raid our villages instead, which I don't see as a plus. sad.gif

I'm not sure if you're allowed to study beyond transcendence, but how about offering a bonus or an honours line for the person who has sunk in the most lessons into a skillset?

ie) Shuyin is the greatest Swordsman in the land. He would also enjoy a minor increase in damage/wounds/whatever.

There could even be skillrankings, it'd get pretty serious. tongue.gif

After you've placed 1715 lessons into a skill, the system prevents you from putting in more.

I suppose that could be an option for those who forget a skill and then re-learn it later. Or are you talking about specialties?

Instead of a cap of 1715 lessons players could be offered the opportunity to continue improving a skill even after transcendence. As an example for every 250 lessons you sink into a transcendent skill like Axelord you might enjoy a small incremental perklike +2% to damage and wounds. If you're really wealthy you might put 10,000 lessons into axelord, earn rank #1 amongst all axelords, (get an honors line) and enjoy an additional 10% bonus to all axe related skills.

It would essentially be a lesson sink for those who are omnitrans and are not interested in skillflexing or collecting artifacts.
Esano2010-05-28 03:14:11
I'd prefer there not be any method to learn over transcendent. It might screw up things like traps and illusion dispelling, which compare lessons invested to determine success rate. Divine favours already do so.
Sylphas2010-05-28 03:15:06
It would also lead to undispellable illusions, traps you can't dismantle and other imbalances. There needs to be a cap you can balance around.

Also, I'd probably win for Hexes and Moon if you counted number of times transed. tongue.gif

I want some way to make a custom doll, talking or not. I need a beat-up bunny to give to people.

It is exactly what you want! You can pick them up and give them to people (I gave Ilistala to Talan, and she can also speak!)

Also, you can go smaller-scale with the manse-dweller-pets that you can pick up and carry around too.

Manse-dweller is much closer. A pet is just way too much of an investment for something I would never use any of the features of other than look like a stuffed bunny.

Could we get a message if we're offline when a Domoth we hold goes free or downgrades? It would be a nice reminder for those of us who might forget to always check DOMOTH STATUS every time we log in.
