Please, please let us be able to purchase like, a Quiz Game addition to the organizational stages! Even if we can just buy the timer, that'd be worth it so that we can hold miniquizzes with the dandy timer!

You realize that you can do a stage effect that mimics the timer, right?

Well, it doesn't have an actual timer. You do have to keep time yourself. But, you can set up a stage effect to perform when time's up or at certain intervals in a set amount of time and so on. You can set up stage effects to do anything, really. You could set one up to have a midget in a diaper with a gong run out onto the stage when the time's up if you wanted to.

I'm 99% certain that one of the admins have said in the past that it is already possible to hold official quizzes for your org, if you contact your Patron.

That sounds like a ton more work than: say STOP

and you'll get the exact same result.

zMUD or MUSH?

...?

If it's an in-game mechanism, why would my client use matter? I just wanna tinker with the stage and do it that way rather than code something myself.
Rika2010-06-13 03:50:17
Oh, never mind. I misread. I thought you wanted to be able to do official quizzes, not use the timers for stages.
Xiel2010-06-13 03:54:03
Wouldn't mind being able to do official quizzes either. Would be a lot easier for me to use the ANSWER system rather than having people spam me with tells.

an auto-pay shop command for those too lazy/forgetful to pay their taxes each year. Takes from the profits present in the storeroom, can be toggled on/off as necessary.

Hey, the new year just started! They / we will pay up on our taxes! sad.gif

That said, a little reminder that we owe taxes would not be amiss. Like, an automatic message on the new year when taxes are assigned.

I'm aiming this at the 2 years + offenders. tongue.gif

That you can do. tongue.gif

Someone pointing out a way to do that without poking the Divine every time I want to hold a mini-quiz would be great. Looking through help scrolls is showing me nothing.

The timer isn't an in-game mechanism, but the ability to display whatever you want to the screen is. Just run the timer through backstage improv via your client's timer.

The stage has no timer functionality, people are just saying you can use your client to do a timer and then have it do a stage effect (and as Everiine says, you could just as easily have it do SAY STOP for the same effect).

There's not currently any way to start a quiz without divine intervention.

Hope we can stop the thread going around and around like my dog chasing her tail now!
