This!

An easy (easier) solution is to just alias BEAST LIST; AUDIT together, so that when you check for vials, clothes and enchantments decaying, you also see your beasts.

I always forget Audit exists. But that's a good idea!

Try READ SCROLL OF HEALING.
Doing so made me read my protection scroll =/
Eldanien2010-08-12 18:56:29
Odd. It had always worked for me... but then, I'm kind of OCD about the order of items in my inventory, and always had my healing scrolls first. And here I thought that was a cool syntax for singling out healing scrolls. Sorry for that.
Idea: READ SCROLL OF (AT ) reads the first scroll of that type found in inventory.

Err what about just READ PROTECTION and READ HEALING?

I think the original complaint was that doing READ HEALING would make a person try to read a healing vial or something.

Can 'read healing' read the first healing scroll in your inventory, instead of trying to read your vials? Either that or put another keyword on the Scrolls of Healing that we can use.

CUBETAP CUBE #/KEGTAP KEG #
For 2 power per #, this would tap your cube or keg, and keep it where you leave it for a year per #. For instance, CUBETAP CUBE 5 would cost you ten power, and keep the cube from resetting for five IC years.

How long is a tap now?

Don't know, but it's not long enough really. Maybe a day or two irl.

Really? Hmm. I haven't tapped my shop kegs for a while now... Let's see how long before they return.
EDIT: Last time I tapped them was 2010-08-09 16:04:50, local time. That's by now a little over three days ago.
Unknown2010-08-13 02:00:27
Much longer than that. It's 250 IC days or so (255 being the maximum value a byte field can store), last I checked.

I don't think it's being stored in IC days, to be honest. My guess would be seconds or minutes, since some things (mobs, quest items) don't repop on whole days. I'd be surprised if kegs were treated any different than other items. Not saying it can't be close to 250 IC days, of course, but...

A way to sell books in the shops, or failing that,
title letters so you can sell letter 1234 in the shop and it comes out letter1234 Treatise on Rationalist thinking...... 1500 gold

Can't sell books or such since they have to be specially made for someone. Would be nice if it wasn't like that though.
Booklist. For organizing books easily during those times when you have a lot of books and letters on hand.

The last time the books-for-sale suggestion was made, it was suggested that a person be made editor of a book when it was purchased. That works for things with no content, but what if you wanted to distribute manuals or pamphlets in your shop and not have everyone editing them? Might require a new shopkeeper syntax for flagging them to turn over editing privileges, but that gets much more complicated.
