Fine, I'll say it...

Monster Hunter Class, GO!

Yeah, but when you get to that level of logic, almost all the tradeskills will need to have some of its stuff become common skills. Cooking is maybe more obvious, though, and it'd be unfair to erode it but not the other tradeskills. But why can't we figure out that the part of the plant we eat a hundred times a day is the part to pluck off the bush? How come I can't pitch the tent I designed and built? How come no amount of listening or being taught can let you learn a single word of a language? How come you can't figure out that the bit that comes out of the snake's tooth might be the venom? How hard is it really to break open a geode, or pierce an ear, or mend a tear in a shirt? Or fix a ding in a cabinet -- oh wait, not even artisans can figure that one out...

There might not be someone else.

Anyway my idea:

New Cooking Skill - CARVE

Mastering butchering skills, you are able to harvest some meat from your recently slaughtered animal. (Must be a reasonable animal, ie can't be cherubs or bugs. And must be slaughtered within a 1 minute timeframe before it becomes too old. Only gets you up to 10 meat depending on the animal).

I guess could be the same with other commodities, such as milk the cow.

Alternatively, just allow us to use a few more corpses for meat turn-ins (maybe moose and pigs. Why pigs don't count already is beyond me!)

I think it's more of a factor of the growing desperation for comms.

There's just as much illogic in that one to be found. I live in a forest, have an axe, know how to chop down trees, and can saw wood into furniture in any combination you like, but I can't quite figure out how to make a campfire -- and even when I can, I still need someone in a sawmill to help me. Butchering animals is actually a lot more of a skill than using the same ability to saw wood into furniture to saw raw lumber into wood.

Add an ability called Chatterbox or Blabbermouth relatively high in Dramatics or Influence that allows you to speak twice before having to wait. Useful for people like me who want to make a quick correction or addition and always hit the restriction and then don't notice.

This. Orders are different flavors of the various orgs, nothing more, nothing less.

Brb reinforcing the boring status quo of the playerbase.

Indeed, the underwhelming abundance of Halli/Gaudi quests must be remedied. You heard the woman. Get to it.

THey're all in there, just no sections for Gaudi or Halli quests. sad.gif

Which ones are there, beyond those in the epic quest? I wanted to propose a quest contest, but I couldn't really find any that fit Gaudiguch and Hallifax.

Grandmother Scorpion isn't really one, but worth doing if you want more lucidian/dracnari insight

Edit: Meant Drac, apologies. Thinking several different things at once and ended up writing the wrong thing in.

Edit2: I do recommend you be moderately hefty before trying it. There's some rough customers involved that can make with the squishy.

No she's pretty good for gaudiguch. She's got Lucidian and Dracnari followers, not Trill.

Make it mechanically harder to oust high CR members of a city.

It is.

It's already like that:

CODE
10.9 CITY AND COMMUNE RANKS
...
Rank #          Ability
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2               First of the village influence skills.
3               Campaigning rights in village influencing.
4               A loyalist, requiring uncitizening only by a council
                member.

4               The ability to PREFIX and SUFFIX lower-ranked citizens.
4               Second of the village influence skills.
4               The ability to CITIZEN people.
5               A patrician, requiring uncitizening only by two council
                members.

6               The ability to favour and disfavour people.
6               Third of the village influence skills

Aren't these both Hallifax races?

Anyways, I'd think a Great Spirit would be more Nature-oriented. Especially since she's reclusive and doesn't want anything to do with the organizations, really.

What he was saying was that it wasn't Trill there, so it would also make sense for people of Gaudiguch to go down and learn about. Just as much as it would for people in Hallifax, to learn a bit about Tzaraziko and the old cities that the Dracnari and Lucidians came from. It is more of a nature quest, but it does have a lot to do with the history of those two races.
Kiradawea2010-08-25 23:00:44
I actually wondered if it wouldn't be a "banned" quest for those two. I mean, how dare you help those blood traitors. They work with stupid dracnari/square lucidian. How utterly abhorrent. It is a sin against nature and all that. In the event itself, the Mesa went completely bonkers over Dracnari and Lucidian working together.
