I'd think that mercury would still only be made on FIRE FORGE/OVEN, and adding more coal would keep the oven on at the expense of eliminating the chance of mercury.
I see no issues there. I see it only go in my favor since, until recently, I gave mercury away. It was the result of adding coal that pissed me off.
Ameryth2010-10-28 01:49:20
If it's that much of an issue, the chance of coal becoming mercury could be raised slightly. I just hate refilling an oven with coal to have it use all the fuel in a second - it makes no sense.

All good.

Not sure why it's like this, but would it be possible to make it so you can check if a beacon is lit for the Celest epic? The first part is already annoying enough having to look through the entire Inner Sea for the seahorse, coupled with people killing Lanikai + Roberto, having to look through the entire sea for squid, and the other annoying factors about the quest. And to make it all worse, there's the high probability of someone stealing your work or vice-versa. Right now if you probe a beacon, it says there's already a pearl in it. Even if there isn't, so you have to run around to each beacon hoping to find an empty one.

That the council chambers are used for setting up arena events is a silly legacy of ancient decisions from Achaea. Any chance we could make it so those ARENA commands are done from the arena where the START command is done? There's already protections on who can do it (ministry aideship) so there's no reason it needs to be in a secure location.

That "running around looking for an empty one"? If you start north of the harbour, and go counterclockwise, the first one empty will tell you how many have been done already. Theoretically. I'll second that it'd be nice if there was some way to gauge the progress and the lit/unlit status aside from that, though. Especially with as prone to theft as that quest is.

Can we please get rid of the balance loss when you enter the valves on Vortex? It's really annoying and I can't think of a good reason why we have to lose balance...

Makes it easier to defend the plane. Similar to the pillars on Celestia, or the pits on Nil. A mage can't meld the whole plane, meaning you don't have to break through valves.
Ileein2010-10-31 21:43:01
Yeah. Continuum is actually the only one without that; it (partially) makes up for it by being really goddamn confusing.

Have more creatures that fly that can be hunted, and creatures underground. Harpies in Glomdoring that are not just in the land, but also flying above, rockeaters can be also found inside the mountain via DIG, Eagles can be hunted in the air. Crows flying outside of Mag, Hawks around Celest, flying pigeons around Hallifax...
Also, chances that if you are in Sako's carriage, you will get pulled over by highway bandits, disillusioned men and women from one of the villages.
Quests that allow you to repeat the past mistakes, and try to fix them.
At random parts of the night, you would see ghosts walking around certain parts of Lusternia, or illusions that are cast by a new honors quest villian.
-Good side, you slay the villian and stop his evil quest. OR You assist the villian and wreak havoc on the minds of the Tae'dae cubs.
Give manse owners the ability to share manse priviliges...
Allow chandeliers to be hung from trees.
Give Kar'chen a break and give him 2 elite guards that stand by his side.
Give minor abilities like what some of the artifacts give (again, to a much lesser degree), for shorter amounts of time.

Windchimes.
Estarra says no because she believes that if this were made available, the hundreds of outdoor rooms (that are not furnishable without admin intervention) would be immediately furnished with hundreds of windchimes at the cost of hundreds of thousands of commodities. I am, unfortunately, not kidding.

If I wasn't lazy and busy with school, I'd make it my mission to chandelier every indoor room.
In the game.
In the game.

Please make it possible to see how much esteem you've accrued via Order offerings in your score (or if you're in the negatives). Or a command like... ORDER ESTEEM. For times when you don't want to bug your Order mates, or you're the only one awake.

The point is that 99.9% of rooms can't be furnished, period, whether indoor or out. Rooms can only be furnished if some admin does a command that sets a flag on it. The only rooms that come that way automatically are manse rooms. Some cities have had the furnishing flag set in a lot of places by diligent admins, though I've often been called on to build things in someone's new guildhall and had to tell them it wasn't furnishable for surprisingly long times. In Serenwilde, we have the treetops area where some of it is furnishable, the library, and most of the guildhalls, and then so far as I know there's only one room in the actual forest we ever got furnishable (and it's not even the nexus). Even if they gave us windchimes to make it so the cities with indoor and outdoor nexii were even in their ability to use them, they could easily just set the flag only where they want them to be possible, and thus completely limit how many of them we make and where.
Ileein2010-11-01 15:50:13
Vast portions of Hallifax are indoors, including the rooms immediately surrounding the nexus... but the nexus itself isn't. Alas.

Rika doesn't mind being bugged by Order mates.
