Yes, a throne can be absolved if the owner doesn't like the opposite Domoth holder (and this change will cause a whole lot more absolving, I suppose). But Absolve hasn't been used much at all, so it will be kinda nice to see it used. May need some tweaks because as Sojiro said it will be kind of a "daily raid" for a while I imagine.
The problem with this is the amount of rivalling Ascendants there are.

Versus one org just holding all Domoths? It seems to me like this means more (potential) Domoth conflict, which is a good thing from the Admin PoV, no?

As Estarra said, we haven't seen a fight, so I can't say anything for sure yet...we'll see I guess, but I don't see it being any different then before.

Well, what's different is that 1 org cannot hold all Domoths at once, period. Nor can we get other orgs the Domoth items that actually matter (orb, crown). Those can be stolen / taken. Then they can be used to absolve us, or we can absolve them, etc.
The really big thing it changes is that Glom has a whole lot less upkeep to do now, heh. Have fun with the upkeep!

Unless I read it wrong, no..noone can absolve Glomdoring really.

You read it wrong. Especially if you get a Seren Ascendant to hold a Domoth, but even a Demigod can absolve (given good timing).

The idea is not to have Seren hold a domoth. Not that we don't want them to, just that it's not preferred.

Then there are some necessary sacrifices until Magnagora finally raises Esano. Or whoever it is they picked.
Alternatively, change Domoths back!

Consider removing the bonuses ascendants get over demis regarding domoth times.
Or bring demis up to ascendant level.
That's one of the things compounding the glomdoring easy-mode that's making the entire domoth exercise a horrid little useless feedback loop reinforcing one mega org.

I admit I don't know how they come out of dormancy though, so if they don't pop out together, IE Opposites together, then maybe this is possible.
Opposites always drop out of dormancy together, except nature, which always drops with chaos/harmony. Two different people cannot claim two different domoths at the same time.
Was that what you were looking for?

Except times were just made "random" so we do not know how it will actually work. We'll find out over the next couple of days with the next flux in Estar.

The time doesn't make the difference - absolve will. Time affects how long you have to spend doing it. It's still possible to, just.... you'll end up being much, much more bored.
The absolve benefits, on the other hand, are a big deal.
Having said that, bump up demis to be equal if you want to, instead of bringing ascedants down for stage 2. Unless you really, really hate yourself.
EDIT @ XENTHOS: Oh, I thought that meant the time between fluxes was random, not that which domoths fluxed was completely random. Interesting.

Yes. This is an issue. This nulls out what Estarra said...... BUUUUUT if
o Dormancy periods for domoths will be random.
is changing that.....

Hey, nobody sends me anywhere. I just post in threads I find interesting for one reason or another!
And yes, I am kind of interested in seeing how things go.

I'm even more confused now than I was before these changes.
And, I want to agree with Akui and Rika that Domoths shouldn't be so much faster/easier for ascendants. Some advantage is to be expected, but not as large as it is now, I guess.

Why not? Just raise your own. Everyone can do it.
Good changes btw, less upkeep for us.
Also, it's true that if two domoths (due to flux) went out of dormancy at the same time, Glom could theoretically help org x get one domoth then we get the other, randomized dormancy time or not, but with the randomized time, it may go free at a time when it's not really feasible for team Glomifax to take both.
Though, the same will be true for team Magniguch as well.
I am interested to know if we are kicked out of the specific domoth as well or the hub during stage one given the changes as well.

An Ascendant costs 1,000,000 power. Yes, power flows like rivers now, but 1 million is still a lot. The difference between Ascendants and Demigods is fine as it is - what with demigods becoming the new level 50.
Esano2010-01-23 10:30:14
Glomdoring will be able to help with the first stage, yes, but that's all - not the second or third, and you can still steal in second stage (or prevent in first, so it drops back to full open dormancy, whereupon you can pick it up - as Glomdoring still can't interfere unless they switch the owner of their own domoth).
