You were trying to use focus mind (which you don't have) to cure demon-given affs. If you had it, you would have cured the epilepsy, which is a major part of what killed you.

I didn't see any attempts to cure the scabies the demon was giving you either.

EDIT: So, look at the afflictions your system is tracking from demon attacks, and make your system -not- use focus mind to try and cure them.

I don't want to fiddle around with Treant because I have no idea where to go or what to do when I get there :/

I never did figure out how to make it not use focus mind in Treant. I ended up just getting focus mind...

It's fairly easy to do, but I'm not going to step around Iasmos' income - I suggest buying a support contract and asking, or getting focus mind.

I have been trying to get focus mind for a long time now, but I can only get 20 IG credits every 3 weeks or so.

Most of the time you should just assume that those particular demon attacks are giving scabies and epilepsy.

In terms of your offense, remember that you've got more than psionics. Weave a phantom at the beginning of the fight and renew as needed, and have an alias (or aliases) to 'move;raise staff @target' to catch them on balance and hurt their head. Enter your psi stupidity + whatever alias and hit it as soon as they crunch to stack stupidity and concussion for extra badness.

Though I guess he's a nihilist, and therefore has wings... so, not unless you're in your meld.

Brotip: Nihilists will set demons to epilepsy/scabies, and whore ectoplasm. Without fail. Because Sacrifice is the new Wrack.

Only way around it is to either keep hitting the demon until it shields (while cleansing constantly), or...
...raise the power cost of single target ecto so you can't whore it until you win, Estarra.

Also: more Phantom, Claws, Illusorywounds, Reality, Illusions.
Telepathy by itself is pretty poor. You need to diddle someone with additional affs to overcome focusmind AND herbs.

Is illusorywounds worth using if your target isn't also getting hit by a warrior or monk? It's not like they'll be checking them.

You don't understand how illusorywounds works. It doesn't give you fake wounds - it makes you look like you're at 2/3 of your actual health. So if you had 3000 out of 3500 health, your prompt, score, etc. would show 2000 out of 3500.
