Have some respect for your elders, kiddo. That's "Damn, you're old, sir."

No, you threatened to eat Shaddus's cat. I like cats.

I had some fun with a "salad" deck, back in the day. I have a complete set of Fallen Empires and then some.
I'll bet Eldanien's collection is worth a metric ton of cash, unless they're played pretty hard. (95% of my own collection is Gem Mint/Mint.)

I kept mine in pretty good shape. Everything's sleeved, usually from the moment I opened the packs. The groups I played with didn't have any problems with people playing sleeved decks.
I really should look at what my cards are worth, though.

Mail me a few Black Lotuses if you have extra.

You should! With all the stuff that's been reprinted recently, the values of alotta original cards has gone up <3

Hrm makes wonder what my small collection would be worth. I have quite a few old-ish cards. Of course this also makes me want to steal my brother's collection.
Of course I'd be keeping his Akroma and I think Karona and possible Phage. I don't remember if he has the last two or not. Akroma I know for sure tho.

Yeah, I always keep flavour cards like that, especially when they don't see play. Alotta old cards I feel were awesome just straight out, not even based on mechanics, like Uncle Istavan or Cosmic Horror.
My crowning deck was a deck full of pirates (and stuff like coastal raiding), ninjas to ninjitsu the pirates, and led by captain Ramirez Depietro! x3

I suddenly have the indescribable urge to make a Dragon deck.
Ikkan2010-01-29 12:21:39
Dragon decks are full of flavour, and most of the really 'scary' ones are cheap because no one really wants to play them in constructed. But I personally feel there are very few of them that hit the field and not make your opponent feel uncomfortable :3!
Dragon Tyrant comes to mind in particular, but there's fun to be had in say Day of the Dragon or Sarkhan Voll, even if they're not strictly dragons themselves.

Dragonmaster Outcast. Crucible of Fire.
Please do not use Mordant Dragon, or I'll drive to where you are and shake you like so many I have no ideas.

I saw someone play a Hellkite Overlord earlier. It made me squeee. Tell me there's more O.O. Keiga and Quicksilver dragon leave so much dragony goodness to be wanted.
Also Damnation > Wrath of God. Just in my opinion.

keiga is nothing compared to Kokusho and Yosei.

Yosei will be in my green white deck soon.
Keiga is the only blue one of the lot though. And she's a nice blue fatty. Dangerous to the last.
Shiri2010-01-30 07:49:23
I'm not convinced about Keiga being worse than Kokusho and Yosei. In their context Keiga ended up being in the best deck because he was exactly the card they needed, whereas Greater Good faded out as the year went on and no one really played Yosei after that, and Kokusho only appeared pre-Hellkite in retarded extended dragonstorm decks.
Unknown2010-01-30 08:09:52
I'm fairly sure that Kokusho was used on MBC.
Edit: can't remember which deck, was it Death Cloud?

Shiri2010-01-30 08:28:59
You're probably right, death cloud had some minor relevance for a while.
Ikkan2010-01-30 10:35:12
In white, Eternal dragon is pretty good. Crucible of Fire or whatever it's called was awweeeesome in limited, but because you would throw in a whole bunch of changelings heh.
Other good dragons to come to mind are Bladewing the Risen, broodmate dragon, and Rakdos pit dragon. Scion of the Ur-Dragon is good if you can do graveyard recursion, dragon arch is amaaaazing for getting them into play, and personally Niv-Mizzet is probably my favourite for how distinctly cunning he feels.

Yosei is relevant right now due to Gifts Control or Gifts Rock (it's a pretty cute setup using Miren, the Moaning Well)
Kokusho.. is a 10 life swing, which is pretty hefty (-5 them, +5 you). He was in MBC/Death Cloud for a while.
