On a related rave, I recently signed up for an MTGO account, and it's buckets of fun. Being able to draft from home on impulse is not going to do good things for my limited funds.

The interface still annoys me, but having all my cards organized, and play on demand? WONDERFUL. It is slightly annoying to play paper, now, though, when I've only got a Ghazi-Glare and Heartbeat Combo sitting around to play with. Would love to have my Faeries in paper.

The cheap singles are pretty awesome too. One cent singles? Yes please.

How much are rares?

Market priced. You can get some sold in bulk at around a quarter, but only the bad ones.

One cent is a bit high. I routinely buy a playset of (almost) every common in a set at 128 cards for a dollar.

Annoying bit of MTGO is if you're doing a combo deck, you can run into a TON of clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking. Sometimes they concede, assuming you won't screw up, sometimes they make you click through it for 10 minutes for the kill. Sunny Side Up is not particularly fun to play online more than once, for example.

Goddamn I miss the old MODO client. This one may not die every release for weeks on end but at everything else it's just awful by comparison.

I agree. I stopped using it when I realized you had to click everything step by step - nothing beats staring your opponent in the face who knows where you're going with every combo. :/

I could proabably replicate my Myr deck pretty cheap then. I've only got a few rares in it. They're -nice- rares, but Myrs are fairly common.

I use http://www.cardbotmtgo.com/default.htm for eyeballing prices a lot. You can get better deals, but it gives you a starting point.

Getting tired of my non-nocturnus vampire deck. Thinking of going White/Black deck with Sanguine Bond and other life gaining spells.

I use tcgplayer. It's a meta-site, so you can check a bunch of places at once.

Does that check bots on MTGO?

Cute combo that does work: Sanguine Bond + Beacon of Immortality. With the degree of utility B/W decks have.. well, it's entirely possible to make an efficient deck around the combo, but.. heh.
