Oglaf can be very funny! Oglaf is also very NSFW, so don't read it if you're offended by cartoon genitals (or if you're under 18 I guess). It isn't remotely porn but yeah.

Oglaf is great! Her other comic, Platinum Grit, is also fantastic. However, you say that Oglaf isn't remotely porn, but I'm sure that would probably be misleading to people who have never seen it before...so I guess a better way to put it, is that it isn't made for the purpose of being pornographic, but there are definitely cartoon sex situations you should be aware of in a number of the comics. If this does not bother you (and you are of legal age to read such things) then I recommend it heavily!

I guess I should stop commenting on other people's choices of comics and make a list of my own, that said. I'm sure there are more than this, but these are the ones I enjoy that come to mind at the moment:

Achewood
Gunnerkrigg Court
Platinum Grit
Oglaf
Girly
Girl Genius
Overcompensating
Bobwhite
Girls With Slingshots
Octopus Pie
Gastrophobia
MSPaint Adventures
Jerkcity
Nedroid Picture Diary
Evil Diva
The Adventures of Dr McNinja
Bad Machinery (and Scary Go Round )
Dinosaur Comics
Templar, AZ
The Non-Adventures of Wonderella
Dawn of Time
The Meek
Order of Tales (and Rice Boy )
Johnny Wander

twitch.gif *gasp, pant...* Ok, that is one monstrous list of comics. You all better appreciate that I put all those links there, too. I think it just took me a good 20 minutes to get all those together. Whew.

(EDIT: Forgot a comic. Added now.)
(EDIT 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO: Added some more comics that had slipped my mind.)

The thing about xkcd is that when the author has a really good idea, it's generally quite funny. However, he only seems to have a really good idea once a week at most, and it updates three times a week.

One really good comic that nobody's mentioned yet is Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is awesome. Although I feel like it is on par with xkcd on being hit and miss sometimes.

Recently found Basic Instructions. It's pretty great.

I'm not a real big fan of webcomics, but my boyfriend is, and a few of the ones he reads I find rather entertaining. Of those, Dominic Deegan has got to be my current favorite. It gets a little angsty at some points, but most of it can be rather funny (though there are a lot of pun jokes), but the stories are very well written, and the characters are fabulous. Spark has got to be the coolest cat ever.

EDIT: And, looking at today's, it's a rather sophomoric one. Most of them are excellent though.

I enjoy 8-Bit on Nuklearpower.com.

Definitely Order of the Stick at #1, with Erfworld, XKCD, and Girl Genius floating around there somewhere. I also enjoy Slightly Damned, too.

Personally, http://www.commissionedcomic.com/ is my favourite comic so far. O does a great job on every single strip and you can at least smile on every single strip
