Whose power was it to assess the situation? It might be wise to do that before we run any diagnostics, just so we know the big picture.
Mirami2010-02-25 14:08:59
Waaaaaaiiit a minute.
Is anybody named Carter, besides this replicator on the floor?
If so, I'd suggest we do a name-claim. If not, oh well.

Holy crap. I didn't expect mafia to be this suspenseful. It wasn't, then all of a sudden... wow.
Vendetta Morendo had the ASSESS THE SITUATION exposition soliloquy thing. If it's not a limited use ability, get cracking. Though I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to do for us, besides repeat information we should already know.
On the (plus?) side, if we find a laptop, we don't have to boggle trying to figure out what to do with it.

I can assess as such once a day and completely lack any night abilities, so if we have a watcher who feels like randomly checking up on me at some point in time, they now know there's no reason for me to do anything other than catching up on some delicious REM sleep.
I could certainly do that now, but perhaps we might talk amongst ourselves more?
Is there any particular reason not to engage in name claims at this time?

Oh, so people can appear innocent when not, and guilty when not when investigated? But does that mean everyone is gonna be misjudged, since at least one source of opposition is the replicators? Confusing...

Well, I'm not sure we're going to get any information we don't already have. Then again, didn't you only get a summarized statement of all of the information we already had last time you did it, in which case it might be wise to use the diagnostic, which actually generated new information?

Wow, nice shot, whoever that was. Hope not all of the scum have innocence, though the word 'Replicator' isn't exactly comforting...
Anyway, since we didn't get any reports, I'm guessing that our investigative/deductive roles turned up nothing tonight. Are we going to be doing that mass name claim then? I'd be fine with that, anyone have a reason why it would be a bad idea?

The only drawback to a mass name claim is that it works both ways. While it gives the town info, it also might tip off any scum that have good knowledge about the Stargate mythos as to who they should target with their kill tonight. The mass name claim is a double-edged sword.

This also assumes that they don't already know who their targets are, though. Arix, at the least, looked pretty... sophisticated. If not in his personality, then in his construction and functionality.
I don't think anyone has to, but hey, I think it makes sense in my case.
I am Rodney McKay, I am deprived of coffee, and I possibly have a briskly scribbled "Frag Me" sign taped to my back.
And in regards to Ileein: sure. Do your stuff before I butt in. However we want to do it.
Ileein2010-02-26 04:03:02
Alrighty then. My name is Lindsey Novak, and I am your friendly neighborhood earth ship engineer. I have the power to, once a day, Assess Key Systems, which I will now do.
Rika2010-02-26 06:02:05
If you're going to do that, might as well tell us what exactly you did...

^Xavius's list of events in sequence.
There was some sort of rule that the third person to jump on a voting bandwagon was safely scum, so:
Unvote, Vote: Arix
I'd vote for Ileein, too, but they're likely just joking. Still not dismiss-able, at any rate.

How bout you come up with an actual reason for voting instead of following someone else and using unproven rules, hmm?

That was an OMGUS, though! Pure coincidence.

Relatedly: I, too, am from Atlantis. Notably, Kiradawea was as well, and was able to back up my claim of knowledge of the wormhole's fluctuations sending us into the past. I'm starting to wonder if all my fellow Atlanteans are aware of this.
With that in mind, Tekora was not privy to that knowledge. For now, FoS: Tekora for this, but more input is appreciated.

I'm really not sure. All I know is that sometimes it does something which may or may not be useful (like opening the door or potentially activating a creepy glowy alien device, as it did last time) or, alternatively, nothing.

Privy to what knowledge? Detailed information about the show's mythos? Correct, I know next to nothing because I'm not a fan of Stargate.
