Oh, is that what we're waiting for?
Meh, fine. Let's get this going. Last night, I used a targeted ability on Xavius. The targeted ability missed, or was blocked.
So either my targeted ability isn't certain, Xavius is inherently protected, or someone protected him.
Work out your own conjecture.

I think it's far more likely that Xavius is scum than he is town. I just hope I'm not 0/2 here.

Wait what? How do you get from A to B here? How can Xavius be certain that Eldanien was roleblocked? He isn't the one to decide if he is protected or not, since that could be someone elses doing. How can YOU be so certain that he has reason to be so certain. And if he was protected, how does that make Tekora guilty? It just makes no sense.

I don't know how he made the leap to Tekora (not that I mind too much), but as for the block being on his end and not mine, that's pretty simple. Arix is dead. Eldanien/doctor are not.
Like I said, you're welcome.
Eldanien2010-03-07 23:19:18
It wasn't the answer, so much as the method of delivery. The reply was obvious, in my opinion. I intentionally left out the possibility of the roleblocking. Remember that Reiha's power was roleblocking, and she used it before she was lynched. I was the one who mistakenly pointed suspicion her way, so me being targeted with her power isn't at all unreasonable.
He saw the answer, and instead of using it to throw suspicion back at me, he simply pointed it out. Calmly, even helpfully, rather than taking it as a weapon to use against an accuser. If he were scum, I think there would have been a greater chance of him dropping a FoS on me or leaving some other comment he could build on later.
Sorry, Xavius. I had to take the risk.
Crossing Xavius off my list of suspects also, as it happens, lessened the suspicion I had for another person.
Which at this point, leaves Tekora at the top of my list. Hence my vote.

That makes no sense either. If Eldanien says that his action can be blocked on someone elses end, then obviously the doctor could've protected you from whatever his skill is. Yes, even if you're the doctor, since there might be two doctors.

I don't follow. I know Eldanien didn't successfully target me because I know who successfully targeted me.
Gleip2010-03-07 23:26:28
Then that person may have been the doctor, who may have thrown off Eldanien's ability and made it so it didn't work altogether. Or hey, maybe there was one of these... whatchamacall it, busdrivers? Roleswappers. There are plenty of options, and Eldanien's logic is shaky at best. Remember that Reiha was both roleblocker and doctor.
Xavius2010-03-07 23:38:09
The jailer is dead, and that's a weird role to have in multiples. Also, contrary to Eldanien's claim, he was not roleblocked by Reiha. Reiha had a night power. She got lynched because she claimed a power she didn't have. He was roleblocked for realz, dawg. (Or redirected. You're right there. He might have been pointed at someone else and...I don't know what from there. The jailer is dead.)
If you'd like to take it a couple steps further, I can tell you that the replicator kill was roleblocked (by me) and we have another killer or killer team out there. Replicators don't use orange flashy handheld energy weapons. The second kill was by an energy weapon. We've probably got Wraiths on the loose. These are things you can confirm for yourself with a visit to Lord Master Google and reading the mod posts.

Ronon's handheld cannon shoots orange flashy bolts. As I said, I had a lot of suspicion for Xavius. Enough that I was fairly confident in targeting him. At this point, I'm thinking redirection rather than blocking.
Gleip2010-03-07 23:58:44
There are definately Wraiths around yeah. My point is, Eldanien's logic is incredibly flawed, and I still don't like this train on Tekora. There are lots of things that can be out there. Or we can have even more vanillas.
Eldanien2010-03-07 23:59:08
I'm curious why you feel Reiha was demonstrating a false power. Jailing could have been her night action, requiring daytime activation. What am I missing here?

You're missing post 212, where Reiha's role PM is posted for our convenient review.

I apparently need sleep and caffeine. And need to reread the thread a few more times... a post here and there doesn't keep the information fresh in mind.
