Back to The Real World.

I would like to introduce you all to a new strategy: the Shaddus Test. Basically, if you would lynch Shaddus for saying it, you should assume it's BS.

Unknown2010-03-08 07:26:16
Alright. Let's see if this strategy works! I hope I'm understanding it correctly, though.
Unknown2010-03-08 07:26:46
I also thought Illein jumping on the Tekora bandwagon a bit =/
Eldanien2010-03-08 07:29:11
When you've lynched me and found out I'm town, consider who it is who's pushing this lynch, and why. The irony will be amazing.
Xavius2010-03-08 07:31:49
Hey, let me go ahead and take full blame for this one. I pushed the lynch of either scum or a really remarkably bad vig.

I am Ronon Dex. I wear a red shirt... sleep.gif

His homeworld was killed by the Wraith. He kills Wraiths a lot. He wouldn't be allied with Wraith. His identity seems reasonably verified as he has a red pistol. "He owns a unique energy pistol which emits red bursts of energy that stun or kill at the user's discretion. " according to Wikipedia. (whether he can choose to kill or roleblock, I don't know).

unvote

If we're thinking about lynching Xavius, have to consider about what he's said about himself: he stopped the replicator kill AND he knew who targeted him successfully.

Waiit, I'm so confused. Can someone who actually knows Stargate confirm things?

Worshippers
The existence of humans who worship the Wraith is first revealed in "The Hive", where a Wraith Queen states that thousands have come to serve them in exchange for sparing their lives. A Wraith worshiper, Neera, mentions the "prophecy of the Great Awakening" and the "end of days". In "Common Ground", Todd notes that the act of returning a person's life is performed only for their most devout worshipers and their brothers. Some Wraith worshipers are assigned as infiltrators to collect information, while others act as mercenaries. In "Reunion" and "Broken Ties", the Wraith are shown to be able to create worshipers out of even the most implacable enemies by feeding on them and then returning that life over and over again. The repeated infusions of feeding enzyme has an addictive effect and bends the victim to the Wraith's will, though only the strongest survive the process. The Wraith used this technique to convert a number of Satedan soldiers after the fall of Sateda, and eventually do the same to Ronon Dex. The conditioning will break if the individual is deprived of enzyme for long enough, although the withdrawal symptoms are severe.
Xavius2010-03-08 07:39:22
I could, but guessing the mod is questionable practice. tongue.gif
Unknown2010-03-08 07:42:26
Yeah. It just confuses things more. sad.gif

It could be that he reverted back to Wraith when the rehabilitation failed, or he would be pro-SG again. Aaaaaaaaaaah.
Xavius2010-03-08 07:43:52
If it really matters to you, Ronon is far too badass to be kept down by something as trivial as pain and desire.

However, we're not playing a Stargate RPG. We're playing Mafia.
Eldanien2010-03-08 07:44:40
I'm not suggesting you lynch Xavius. I don't think he's scum, just making the same mistake I already made. I can certainly be wrong... have been a couple of times in this game already. sleep.gif But don't take my previous posts as angry, just kind of amused by the strange turnaround.
Furien2010-03-08 07:53:31
Got poked. Ronon is an Atlantean so I'm inclined to let him slide, just as I am Tekora as being Carson. But I'm curious as to how Beckett can be Atlantean, yet NOT know we travelled into the past as I do.

Kiradawea's role had the whole 'you went to the past' thing in it, too, for the record, so I can't be alone in this.

Contradictory?

Eldanien2010-03-08 07:59:13
I'm not sure how being in the past affects much of anything.

It does seem to me, though, that any role could be altered to allow for hidden scum qualities. I mean, there's nothing saying Xikue couldn't have taken any given canon character and whipped up a storyline for them being scum. Even that isn't exactly necessary... hasn't every major character in both series had a bad-guy version/infection/clone/etc?

I don't think it is, when you actually consider the full post and not just a snippet.

I don't see how the rest of the post is even relevant.

As in... I read scum traits in his posts where there was none and tried to shoot him. He reads scum traits in my posts where there is none, and is trying to have me lynched. By the time the lynch happens, he'll have done what he lynched me for doing.

edit: I should say, I read scum traits in his posts where I'm not so convinced now. He could still be, dunno.
Tekora2010-03-08 08:35:53
I'm still convinced that Shaddus is up to no good, and now my suspicions on Xavius are piqued due to his unvoting me, then voting for me again almost immediately, putting me back in ninja lynch territory. The fact that Shaddus and Xavius seem to be working together to defend each other doesn't shine me over either.

My vote's staying put.
Unknown2010-03-08 10:26:20
I'm not sure which direction we should be heading in now. Eldanien claiming vig and attempting a kill on the first night stands out as the most suspicious to me at the moment, but he's not rating particularly high on the actual scumminess factor. Unvote for the time being.

Tekora brings up an interesting point, though. What made you unvote and revote him, Xavius?

Also, please do not edit posts. Double-post if you have to.
