I can't decide if Romertien is information-seeking scum pretending inattention, or really just completely clueless, so I'll err on the side of caution. Vote: Romertien.
Incidentally, you haven't answered the question of why you would go for no-lynch of all things when we have other avenues open and a couple of people throwing accusations around. It wasn't as if Eldanien was the only person under scrutiny (and under suspicion for reasons I'm still keeping in mind).

I'm completely clueless. That much seems to be clear
I voted for no lynch because we seemed to have success last night, catching a scum. The people under scrutiny seemed to be Xavius, Tekora, and Eldanien, two of whom have essentially been cleared of suspicion for today, if I understand what has been posted right. I don't feel like Eldanien is scum, but I suppose I could be wrong on this point. I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt, though, and see what happens tonight. We can always lynch him tomorrow if a townie dies tonight to that red-flash-thingy.
I suspect he has a %-kill-scum-chance, as I've said before. I'm unsure why Xavius is sure that Eldanien killed the innocent. Can anybody clarify how Xavius is sure that he killed the replicator, and Eldanien the innocent? I guess that's where my problem in voting for Eld lies.

Xavius reflects night actions (onto the user, so far as I can tell).
Kiradawea is vanilla, and can't attack Xavius, and can't get reflected. Therefore, Xavius did not kill Kiradawea.

Moreover, projectile weapons in the Stargate series are pretty much exclusively Earth designs. Eldanien claimed alien.
Xavius2010-03-11 12:05:16
Another option is that Eldanien was straight up roleblocked and a second scum killer killed Kira. That to me actually sounds more plausible.
Here's the dilemma. A roleblocker could pretty much clear Eldanien by confirming two scum killers. Unfortunately, roleblockers are great anti-scum tools, and we wouldn't want to out ours. A redirector is much less powerful, and it might be helpful to know if we have one of those, but that wouldn't clear Eldanien, so...I don't see a reason to ask for that claim either.
Does anyone have any sort of insight that might help safely figure out what happened last night? I'm not even necessarily talking about powers here. Can someone who's read the thread *COUGH* unwind the logic or come up with a plan before we off Eldanien?

I'm with Romertien here. (That is, clueless.) And my lovely diagnostic did about as much as ze goggles, so... yeah.

I didn't mean clueless as in with no information, but more clueless as in, not even appearing to follow the game at all. Romertien's last few posts before my vote could be read as townie and the latter, or as a scum fishing for role information, which everyone was eager to give. Do not like. And the same question, again - what makes you think Eldanien has a % chance of hitting scum and hasn't seen fit to tell us yet even with votes on him? You seem to want to pose him as innocent and helpful to town.
As for last night's situation, let's see. The current options are:
1) Xavius reflected Arix's kill back on him. Eldanien's kill was somehow redirected to Kira. This is assuming we have a redirector. No SK accounted for, so that's either non-existent, was roleblocked, target was protected, or targeted one of the two dead. We'll need the redirector to confirm this.
2) Xavius reflected Arix's kill back on him. Eldanien was roleblocked. SK killed Kira. We'll need the roleblocker to confirm this.
Are there any other possibilities? I was thinking about using silence as an indicator (i.e. not speaking up = didn't interfere in any way with Eldanien) but I'm not sure how that would help, either.

What if Xavius were an SK/Vig, and not a reflector? We can't conclusively prove he reflected the attack, can we?
Mirami2010-03-11 15:09:34
Eh, I suppose I'll VOTE: Eldanien. If he is scum, I'll be mighty surprised, though...

How likely is it that we have two vigs on the townie side, and that both of them operate at night?

Works with, but is not. It's a pretty important distinction when flavor checking, which makes it doubly frustrating when a certain someone can even quote all the relevant features and still not read the quoted passages...or not read how we're trying to find an out for Eldanien right before voting for him. The lazy, it burns.
So, um, impromptu poll, since I don't see ideas forthcoming: would it be worthwhile to out both the roleblocker and vig to the scum teams to prevent lynching the vig? It would be a real easy confirmation. I doubt that the mod hates us so much that we'd have three scum kills in a game of fifteen. I just don't think that it's worth the cost in the end. We don't know if they'd go for the roleblocker or the vig first, so we couldn't reliably protect them...or just kill Tekora first, then the roleblocker or vig next. Too many variables. Too sloppy of play thus far.
On the other hand, dropping a vig kill in the midst of random voting season and claiming some sort of vague insight is still just plain dumb. Metagame instinct is telling me that Eldanien is probably innocent, and it's making me waver a bit on lynching him, but indiscriminate killing at the earliest opportunity is practically the defining measure of a scum faction.
Indeciiiiiiision.

I feel the same way. He really doesn't sound at all scummy...But killing townies, regardless of why, is a no-no.
Xavius2010-03-11 23:03:47
See, I disagree. I think his actions are about the same as standing on the nearest soapbox and proclaiming himself as scum. He was certainly trying harder to help their cause than ours, regardless of what his role PM says he wins by.

We could've lynched Shaddus like I said before, for all the reasons I've said before, in addition to the fact that ever since I outed myself, he's suddenly gone silent and hasn't participated at all. After all, why would the scum WANT to help untie this knot of confusion? It does nothing but help them.
Anyway, to answer your poll, I don't suggest we out ANYTHING ELSE to the scum. We've already given them enough today with my roleclaim. We might as well lynch Eldanien and end the day before we shoot ourselves in the foot more than we already have.

Eldanien Is Hungry Vote Count
Eldanien (7): Gleip, Xavius, Rika, Solanis, Furien, Romertien, Tekora
Romertien (1): Silferras
---
"Hey, you're a fit guy, you can survive a bite of this stuff, right?" Someone thrusts the unappealing snack bar up into Eldanien's face.
Eldanien takes a whiff and reels back in disgust.
"How uncooperative."
"Hey now, that stuff-"
"Lynch 'im!"
The mob pressed forward, forcing Eldanien into the storage room, where he stumbles back against a precariously balanced tower of crates.
The mob winces.
Amid the mess, some of the crates have cracked open, revealing bottles of water. Their labels are clearly of Earth design. Spilling out from other crates are silvery packets, each one labeled "freeze-dried."
The lights power down as everyone processes what has just transpired. ((It is now Night Phase Two.))

You are Ronon Dex, a Satedan and a member of the First Atlantis Reconnaissance Team. You're frighteningly good in both knifeplay and bare-handed brawls, but shooting is what you do best. Your particle magnum gun is your favourite weapon.
Once a night, you may send a PM to FIRE AT (target).

A nasty splurch guts the silence and soft thud is heard as the victim falls.
"Do you hear that?"
Something shambles through the corridor, metallic scuttling sounds growing louder and louder. The source storms through group as someone gives a muffled shout.
When the light returns, Furien is kneeling on the floor with a fatal stab wound.
A glance down the corridor where the mechanical scuttling was last heard reveals Xavius's mangled body.
((It is now Day Phase 3.))
Hearing a groan, everyone whips their head back to peer into the storage room.
Eldanien has freed himself from the mess of crates, miraculously alive. He wipes his bloody nose with the back of his hand and saunters back to the group.

The Lost Boys? Xavius was a mafia vampire?
Also Tekora... I'm only able to be online about two hours a day. If you really want to see that as "proof that I'm Mafia", feel free to try.
