Day Three Vote Count

Shaddus (3): Tekora, Gleip, Romertien

((It will take 6/10 to lynch.))

QUOTE (Gleip @ Mar 15 2010, 05:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Such whacky hijinx. Personally, I think reviving an over-eager vig is a bad thing. If we wanted someone useful for the power, it should've been Reiha. Jailkeeper seems more powerful for me.

That being said, I am really gonna Vote: Shaddus. I can't see anyone who puts such massive amount of work into framing a claimed rezzer, and still ignore that Tekora used his rezz, to be anything but scum.

Uh, I'm not trying to frame Tekora. I didn't ignore it, I just didn't realize it was his Rez that brought Eldanian back until he said so. All I said was that anyone can claim rezzer, and until it's actually used, it's just a claim. In fact, quite a few posts back I even said I didn't particularly think Tekora was scum, he just acted scummy. 90% of his posts have been merely to try and paint me as scum because I was against his idea on day one. Even his last post "yesterday" in the game was threatening to "see me next game", and his first or so post this day explained that he would make sure I died. Uh..... yeah. If you guys want to ride along with Tekora as he railroads me, feel free.
Gleip2010-03-16 02:20:16
Except that basically through the whole game you've been trying to train Tekora on flimsy reasons at best. That you didn't understand that it was Tekora who brought back Eldanien is ridiculous at best. Your reasoning is about as solid as a wet paper-bag, and you continually ignore or misinterpret what others say to frame Tekora. You're the train, and I'm about to drop a bauta on your tracks.

Uh... I haven't tried to "train" Tekora in any way. Yeah, it should have made sense that Tekora rezzed Eldanien, but I was tired. In fact, the only reasoning I've had is that Tekora constantly accuses me of being scum, and it started with my disagreeing with him on Day 1. Show me anywhere where I wilingly misinterpreted what someone else said in order to frame Tekora, or even what he said. Basically what you're saying is that I shouldn't be allowed to defend myself against Tekora even though he's constantly riding me? Since that's basically my reasoning for the last few days aside from day 1, yeah.

Also.... what's a Bauta?
Ileein2010-03-16 11:07:41
It sounds Japanese, for some reason.

Hi, just popping in to say that I'm not dead, had a couple of rough days with more work than expected so I hadn't had time to check in. Are we piling on Shaddus now?
Gleip2010-03-16 15:02:59
Sure, I'll point out where.

QUOTE (Shaddus Mes'ard @ Mar 3 2010, 07:54 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Damn gnomes and their achievements. Kept my ass up.

So, not only did you actually say that you wanted to lynch an inactive person (or at least make them roleclaim), but here's a full quote, not twisted. So you lied halfway. Nitpicking? Sure it is. But incase you haven't noticed, we don't have many other options. You may not want to lynch a random townie, but putting pressure on someone who isn't active solves little aside from taking up time.

Bolded part? Totally a misrepresentation of Tekora's effort to inject some kafe into the game. I called you out on this "yesterday" too you know, so no need to act so surprised.

And that's a bauta.

Unknown2010-03-16 21:35:15
That's a menhir!

He voted for someone. Voting leads to lynching. Tekora (paraphrasing, so I don't get accused of "twisting his words") FoS'd two people, Xavius and yourself in order to try and make you two start talking. When people started voting for Xavius, he did too. When I told him I didn't think that was a good idea, he threatened to come after me for going against him. Ever since then, 90% of his posts have been threats against me, either trying to get me lynched or making sure I understand "I won't survive this game".

Want to lynch me, go ahead. It won't help you, and you'll be down at least two townies come dawn, unless this SK strikes again, which would make a possible three townies.

And when I come up townie, make sure you stare at Tekora REAL HARD.

When I started posting tonight, it was my full intention to vote for whoever was the lowest poster so far and get people to start playing. Those are Xavius and Gleip. I FOS'd them because 'I can't vote for both of them'. Then when Vendetta and Romertien decided on going after Xavius instead of Gleip, I then threw my weight behind the pressure, as I fully intended to do in the first place.

Now back off before I point out how suspicious it is that you're going after me for trying to get people motivated before a deadline starts and we're forced to make a snap judgement that will likely result in another townie lynch.

http://forums.lusternia.com/index.php?s=&a...st&p=723741

The whole exchange between the 'threat', as you call it, and my voting for you took the whole of two posts. After this exchange, I felt sufficiently assured that you're scum from the effort that you put and continued to put into derailing the momentum that I was trying to build after almost 3 days of no posting. So I abandoned the plan to get Gleip and/or Xavius to claim and went after you, as you had made yourself a suspect. Unfortunately, you spun the facts so much that between the whole Time Travel confusion and my aggro playing style, you got heat on me and nearly dragged me into a lynch. The only reason I survived was because I fought back, then acted fast with the Hail Mary full claim. You then went on to sit back and relax while allowing Xavius to lead the train that lynched our Night Vig and almost made us reveal our roleblocker.

Nice try with the whole 'not twisting my words' thing though. You almost had it there.
Shaddus2010-03-17 03:30:25
Whatever. I didn't drag you into anything, your aggressiveness did that. Oh, and might I add that though Xavius might have led the train, you made sure to bring up the rear and jump on. I didn't "sit back for three days", MY TIME HERE IS RESTRICTED NOW and sometimes I can't get on. Sorry if that inconviences you.

As for the "Hail Mary full claim", big deal. You want a claim, here you go:

My role is Jonas Quinn. I have some sort of "naqahdah power shield" which can be used during the day to shield myself or one person from a night kill, but it runs out of power after one use. From the way my role looks, I can power it back up if I find the right thing. As for me the player, I have little SG knowledge besides the movie and a few of the episodes.

I'm done responding to you, Tekora. No matter what I say, you take offense and use it against me. I felt that the things you were doing were scummy, but apparently you took offense and decided to come after me. If you're dead set on lynching me, do so. As you said earlier, "I'll see you next game".
Shaddus2010-03-17 03:32:41
Now for something besides trying to tear the group apart. Anyone have any ideas? Has the whole "Assess the situation" thing been tried in this room? What about what's his face with the tablet, if he's still alive?
Tekora2010-03-17 03:40:10
Vendetta already assessed the situation.

QUOTE (Xikue @ Mar 15 2010, 08:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
A few people help move Furien's body into a more natural position and place it a ways off from Xavius's. Everyone then sits down to feast on freeze-dried whatever-this-is.
After taking a few gulps of water, Vendetta considers the logo on the bottle, then switches to another topic. Thinking aloud, Vendetta says, "Okay, here's a plan. We find the power source. Find a way to link up Ileein's tablet and recharge it. Head back to the glowy thing and hopefully all go our separate ways."
A short discussion follows, after which everyone gets up and heads down the corridor again.
----
Unfortunately the group has to come to a stop before a shimmering force field. Whose switch appears to be on the other side.
They backtrack into another corridor, only to find the same setup.
"Who $%^&ing engineered this place?!"
((The next lynch will be the brave soul who has to push the button.))

We're heading to the power source now, then back to the glowy thing.
Ileein2010-03-17 11:04:40
Yeah, my diagnostic is useless while my tablet's out of juice. Pity, it was a nice thing to have.

I'm going to go ahead and Vote: Tekora in response to all of the debate here. I went back and read the thread again, and wow, some of those posts did look pretty scummy.
Unknown2010-03-18 02:54:02
Busy trains.

Must stay active. Must think of something to post. Uh...

Something.
Unknown2010-03-18 05:27:27
If it's either Tekora or Shaddus we're lynching...

vote Shaddus
Rika2010-03-18 05:41:16
Yeah... vote: Shaddus. I trust him a lot less than I trust Tekora.
Unknown2010-03-18 07:06:36
Day Three Continued Vote Count

Shaddus (5): Tekora, Gleip, Romertien, Solanis, Rika
Tekora (1): Ileein

((It will take 6/10 to lynch.))
Ileein2010-03-18 11:04:38
Oh dear I'm on my own Unvote. I don't hate you that much, Tekora, I promise. sad.gif
Tekora2010-03-19 03:28:43
Now that we're one vote away from a lynch, I'd like to see Shaddus explain something.

QUOTE
Naqahdah (/ˈnækwɨdə/, also spelled "naquahdah", "naquadah" or "naquaada") A rare, superheavy metal first depicted (but not named) as a quartzite-like "mineral" in the original Stargate movie. Its most basic use is as a weapon: naqahdah greatly amplifies energy, making it extremely potent if paired with explosives. Due to its unique properties, naqahdah forms the basis for many advanced technologies; the Stargates themselves are composed almost entirely of naqahdah. Naqahdah is also present in the bloodstream of the Goa'uld, which allows them to control their technology and sense the presence of other symbiotes. The Goa'uld have naqahdah mining operations on many planets; its refined form, weapons-grade naqahdah, is extremely valuable and often used as currency. Weapons-grade naqahdah is so dense that two Jaffa are required to lift a quantity the size of a couple of common housing bricks, making it at least as dense as gold. Alternate forms of naqahdah include liquid naqahdah, used to power Goa'uld staff weapons, and heavy liquid naqahdah, used to power Goa'uld AG-3 weapons satellites. Naqahdah is a superconductor. Naqahdah does not occur naturally in the Solar System.

You said that your shield generator is made of Naqahdah. Naqahdah is a commodity most closely associated with the Goa'uld, and as a majority, the Goa'uld are Bad Folks. So, you saying that this generator is made of the stuff isn't exactly comforting.

With this information brought to light, anything else you want to tell us?
