Well, in that case - GUARDIANS-R-BTR... LORE... COSMIC... WARRIORS-BOO.
You're welcome.

Didn't read the thread, but when it came out I was surprised/amused that just hours after the Ascension event, a number of players have not only moved on but are making demands for new things. Things must move slowly here in Rael-land.

Well, now we're at zero people waiting for guardians.
I know of three, and I haven't been looking. I find most of the arguments on both sides to be silly and founded on baseless assumptions about how the administrators do things. We'll have a referendum, and then we'll know.

Who are they? I haven't seen them around. (at least not in a way that I noticed).

I know Doman and Ayden are waiting for the guardians. As far as non citizens, Finnley is planning on joining them... that's off the top of my head. There's a lot of interest in them, but it's hard to judge whether interest will translate into people transplanting over.

I knew about the first two. I actually mentioned that many of the people who want to join guardians are already in the city and in a guild, those were two of the ones I thought about. The question was how many rogues are sitting in the city and waiting for the guilds to open. I can count four warriors, one wiccan, and one bard.

I'm conflicted. I really like the guardian RP, and the Continuum is awesome in ways I can hardly comprehend, but Ileein is an Aeromancer and has demonstrated this amply.
I'll probably just start an alt in the Halliguardians just to see what things are like, then hop back when I've had my fill.

Not to sound incredibly biased due to my wish to see Guardians first, but wouldn't releasing them logically be healthy for fleshing out the direction and roleplay of each city as related to their planar territory? I feel like the original two Cosmic planes play a very heavy part in influencing the types of players, actions, and ideals that Magnagora and Celest both tend to have/do/support. I think that a guild that draws power from these planes and also serves to keep them safe would have a great influence on both cities. Not to mention that part of the security power provided by the Warrior guilds has been temporarily hired out to us via mercenary NPCs, so it's not like picking said guild would have that side of the benefit either.
Oh, also.. while Mages and Guardians respectively attract the same 'sort' of crowd according to some people, I would say that there are also people in Guardian guilds waiting for respective new guilds to open for THEIR archetype. Warriors are not the only class capable of leaving a guild to join another of the same archetype, obviously.

Right, I know that my earlier comments might have seemed to be not serious, but now that I have cleared this with Est I must take a bit more serious tone. I discussed the issue here and she agreed with me that this would be a good opportunity to show the preliminary design of the Opera skillset and ask for first thoughts and feedback. Please keep in mind that this is still a rough design and subject to change.
Feedback is most welcome!
