Incentive to get better!

'Weakness must be eliminated in all its forms: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual.'

...wait, wrong game.

EDIT: Really, though, if you're throwing together crews entirely at random, what do you expect?

It's true.

And no, it's the right game. I play a Mag. suspicious.gif

Oh noes. I transed aethercraft expecting to get free demi from it and now I can't anymore.

Somehow I knew it'd be you commenting, Rika.

I hunted prime for a VERY long time before deciding to start aetherhunting. I don't think it's a legit complaint that you had to "work harder" for demi and so should everyone else. The only reason for you to care about how other people attain demigod after you already have it is so that you can keep feeling special about yourself being "one of the few elite". It's only natural for you to try to stop other people getting it too. Natural, but annoying and greedy.

Oh, and it's hardly free demi. You still have to put more hours in than most people have in order to get it.

Magnagora is no Mhaldor. Not enough abuse of lower-ranked people.

You should put a character name to these tears if you're going to start making ad hominem jabs.

HONORS DAEDROTH. You should know what you're talking about.

Though, I thought these forums were supposed to be ooc?

Yeah, nice evasion. Not the alt you dug up to move to Gaudiguch. The one that's been played enough to reinforce your knowledge of the situation.

EDIT: Hey, yeah, go ahead and read the reply and edit something in to try to look smooth. Timestamps show at the bottom, you know.

Yes, the forums are OOC. Knowledge of the game comes from being there, though. That is, unless your jabs at Rika are just parroting a sentiment you heard earlier in the thread to try to sound important (as opposed to the giant target you just became).

I don't know where you're going with this in regards to the aetherspace changes and my opinion that aetherhunting is currently a pain. It sounds as if you are just trying to glean info for metagame styled griefing.

Your thoughts in regards to the changes? Right. I'm going to just go ahead and leave your posts in this thread below, lest anyone think you have a point.

It's looking like I've wasted lessons transing aethercraft...

What have I ever done to you to get that statement?

Your character is 169 years old. If you really hunted for that "VERY long time" you claim you did, you would be a demigod by now. Now, let me change what you said a bit.

I don't think it's a legit complaint that you had to "work harder" for demi when some people got it easy. The only reason for you to care about how other people attain demigod before you have it yet is so that you can stop feeling bad about yourself not being "one of the few elite". It's only natural for you to try to want yourself getting it easily too. Natural, but annoying and greedy.

If you really want to get into personal agendas, the above would just be as true.

As for that last statement, aetherhunting was by far the best way to get a large amount of experience in a short period of time consistently. You don't have to "put more hours in than most people" unless you're comparing getting demi to the casual player who logs in a few hours a week. When you compare it to anyone else who wants to get demigod, you're either spending as much time as they are (provided you are both doing it at the same level of efficiency) or less.

Soo Rika just how exactly did you get to Demigod, if I remember it was simply following others and riding the lol seren train. Eitherway I don't mind some way to push the afkers off the wagon, shouldn't be player run as that would be ooc and ooc/ic doesn't mix well. Aethercraft is expensive and the like, and instead of thinking wow he can get to demigod why not think wow, I have a useless skill after demigod that doesn't help me at all in combat.

Rika bashed to titan as a rogue, solo. Though, after that post, I instantly disagree with whatever it was that you just said.

It's true that we all have our agendas. It's always better that they are out in the open when reading someones complaints about game mechanics.

It's currently my goal to be a demi; aetherhunting was a fun and reliable way to achieve that goal that still required a good amount of work. Plenty of people got Demi with influencing, knight bashing astral for decades at a time... I even heard of people leeching Thoros and riding to demi. I don't think aetherhunting was really that evil, though the afking is a problem and I think there is a better option to fixing that problem than the current measures taken.

You chose the wrong person to try to make that argument to. I hunted most of the way up from the high 90s to titan as a rogue. I then grinded Xion, krokani (not even aslaran for RP reasons), gorgogs and UV tunnels (not illithoids/kephera) to demi. Alone. There was no 'lol seren train' involved with me getting demigod.

Next?

'Free' Demi? Excuse me, but he's investing time he could be doing something else with in game - and lessons he could invest elsewhere. That is not 'free'. He invested in Aethercraft expecting the Administration to make the fair choice and leave the genie out of the bottle. Because of the combined complaints similar to yours ('Demigod has been cheapened!'), and the actual culprits who script AFK module use, they decided that slivvens were somehow the wiser choice. I have no issue with finding a way to prevent AFKing on modules, but honestly, I'm still of the opinion that slivvens were not the way to go.
Ssaliss2010-02-25 09:47:03
That was really more of an accusation than a question. I could make a grand example, but I'd likely just end up with a bunch of warnings, so I'll refrain from doing so for now.

That was, of course, to the post above the one above this one.
