Some strange freak hosted a Lusternia Webcast!
Check it out, there's some information about the upcoming releases!

Good information. I enjoyed the video. Thanks!
I'm wondering how many people didn't already know Estarra is a man...

I didn't.
Good info about the Halliguardians a.k.a. T.A.R.D.s, though. The people on TVTropes will have a field day wondering who is a Time Lord when everyone in one of the guilds is one.

Estarra's full name was a matter of public record when Lusternia was released.
Kiradawea2010-03-06 00:34:47
I didn't get to ask the questions I really wanted to ask... so now it's time for more work, and more training to not be so polite.
Was nifty tho.

Indeed - Dame Edna Everage!

I was like 'whoah!' for like 2 seconds but then I got over it.
I was surprised with Lorina and Golgothura but now I just assume that all mudders are male.

I feel fairly strongly that whatever gender you project is how you should be treated, whether in the game or on the forums or IRL. I have several transsexual friends, one of whom is one of my best friends, and one lesson I have learned is that nothing can be more rude than to refer to someone by the wrong gender. One way to get on my bad side is to refer to me (Estarra) as anything but female! (Besides, who cares what gender that freaky sock puppet is.)
Shiri2010-03-06 00:58:15
EDIT: except the sock puppet part

I'm probably biased but I thought Jeremy's webcast mostly sucked and this was a lot more interesting. The thing that impressed me the most is Estarra's enthusiasm and vision. Look no further than the faded shirt, hand-drawn map, cheeky smile.... It's been 5+ years of working remotely and Estarra's still manages to get excited and has plans from way back that have yet to be realized. (apparently the Aetolian producer quit and moved on) I wasn't sure if I would like to meet the person behind the screen but the webcast turned out a lot better than I thought it would so well done!
Not sure if it's just my speakers but there is little static with the microphone when speaking loudly which actually makes you harder to hear. Also it's a little weird that you had sound effects primed and ready to go so I guess you must have a lot of practice or something.

Honestly, I've been an admin for over two years now, and I suspect I won't be leaving any time soon. One thing that really has kept me in the saddle, through all the rough ups and downs, is Estarra's enthusiasm - I was a bit surprised myself the level of exuberance she was speaking with, but it was really uplifting to see her still so passionate about Lusternia.
Everyone in Havens can tell you I'm a proverbial sponge, and every time she gets chatty and goes on about Lusternia (like you all saw), I just eat it up. She's just something else - and I get so sad when I find out I've missed out on one of those opportunities. It really is one of my favourite things about her, just how... Excited she gets over Lusternia. It's kind of... I don't know. Refreshing? It definitely keeps me going, oddly enough. Energy begets energy - in this situation especially.

I totally forgot to push for my second tradeskill demishop.
Ilithyia2010-03-06 03:28:16
I'm a rather new player, and I loved getting a little bit of the 'big picture' view of Lusternia. Great webcast!

I'm just glad I got a guess in that got a response. Sorry I showed up late, I was working on other things off and on, then someone mentioned it in the IRC channel, and I said "CRAP!" and hopped in.

I loved the guardian preview information (though I think Pyros are Aoife's landing place, at least for now!) and the little tidbits about Vortex!
Also I think we have the same (or at least very similar) glasses.

Whee, I learned how to pronounce Gaudiguch. The accent was on a different syllable than I was internally saying.
I love the detail on what Gaudi is based on as well, thank you Estarra.

I'm rooting for you, Estarra! Illuminati and the Halliguardians sound great, I'm sure you can get them to us by deadline!
On the rest of the stream, very very enlightening.

I would like to request the webcast be placed in YouTube. Ustream was VERY choppy and annoying to deal with.
Shamarah2010-03-06 05:04:56
Yeah, I can't actually access ustream at all from my college internets, and I'd love to watch the cast. Youtube would be awesome!
