Ebonguard?

Shadowdancer?

Also, this isn't in Lusternia at all, but it should be.

sadface

This could just as well be a Moondancer. I think someone (I would if it fit with Lillie at all) needs to give the Moondancers a more Blair Witch Project-ish image. We're not all about cuddles and rainbows!

No, that's what Spiritsingers are for. happy.gif

dry.gif Moondancers are the stereotypical wiccans though. Running around naked, moonlight org- Ceremonies, you know!
Lillie2010-06-01 05:23:34
Yeah, but the Blair Witch was a Wiccan...It just irks me sometimes that the Shadowdancers get all the cool stuff attributed to them and people just glance at the Moondancers and think "Oh, lol, silly naked people who mudsex all the time."

I'm trying to devise a way for Lillie to change their image. :/

Also, in the interest of contributing to the thread....

A Moondancer!

Dewwd. No way. That's totally a Celestine.
Lillie2010-06-01 05:26:44
Psh. You can still distinguish her form, right? There's not a blinding nimbus of light around her, is there?
Moondancer!

She is no doubt a moondancer. -Look- at that crescent. whistling.gif

You simply must tell me the artist's name. They look so familiar!

Yoshitaka Amano is his name. He's a famous artist from Japan most well-known through his concept pieces done for the Final Fantasy series and Vampire Hunter D novel.

His work is just stunningly ethereal and twisted.

I'm glad I asked. My first impulse was to say Ryuhei Kitamura.

Which is silly, since he's a filmmaker.

Didn't he also do the one Sandman book with Gaiman?

Just checked and yes! If I ever created something that required art for it, I'd choose him without a doubt.
ongaku2010-06-05 08:03:36
I recognized that last one as a Final Fantasy(esque) picture. smile.gif Beautiful work!

My character never goes naked. The IG explanation is that it's bad for business (said business being tailoring), but in reality it's because... yeah, no. In my mind's eye the archetypical Moondancer would be kind but slightly reserved, a healer and a master of arcane lore, as gracious as she is dignified, and wise enough to sacrifice pride when necessary. The one Moondancer who fits this image in my head most is Galaphyrae, though you may not remember her.

Of course, this interpretation gets argued with plenty as well. There are people who go the whole hog one way and go in for giggly naked orgies, and people who swing the other way and insist that anything not of nature should be burned off the face of the earth, that "Moondancers are not nice!", and that niceness - even to your own side - is being weak because a High Priestess of the Moon two hundred years ago left some people to die. Your mileage may vary.

You Moondancer, you.

And yes, Galaphyrae fits all those descriptions!

Templar! ...sorta. Well, some sort of templar-pyro hybrid riding a wyvern at least!

Other templar!

Sentinel!

Other Sentinel/aero thing!

Ur'guard!

Also, this one is one point short of a Gaudiguch Chaote star, but the interplay with the butterfly makes it pretty gaudi appropriate:
