Don't forget about the upcoming m&m system, which promises to be much more capable (written by a Mudlet developer, so it only follows that it'll be good).

YEAH... really waiting for that one. Would like to try another curing system until that becomes available so I can begin to practice combat.

I imagine m&m will be an awesome system. I don't believe it is going to be free, but I do believe it will be worth the price. I wouldn't be stopping work on Stygian if could give it the time that it really deserves. But I've been helping Jules with Mantis off and on for awhile. It's actually diving into Mantis code to extend it for myself/help Jules with an issue here or there which prompted me to code Stygian in the first place. But I want to make sure there's one good, complete, and free mudlet system available, and the best way I can see to help that happen quickly is to combine efforts with Jules.
As to which one will be assimilating the other as a voice in their Choir, it'll still be called Mantis. How much code from Stygian gets a direct port into Mantis remains to be seen. I know he's gone a somewhat different route than I in his core curing, but i believe our general approaches are compatible. The plugins I was previously selling(but are now included in the files in the OP) will definitely be getting ported for Mantis: influencer, harvester, and balance/eq queuing should all be featured in Mantis before too long. Should mainly just involve a bit of refactoring. I'll be setting up some rudimentary display elements (map capture window, tabbed chat, stats/gauges, that sort of thing) and I believe a tabbed 'info' window, with the option to switch between things like the calendar, system messages, inventory information/analysis... really anything you aren't likely to need regularly and can do without seeing at a glance.
And in the end, because I never really fully give up on a project... once Mantis is more rounded out and a more viable option, I'll probably pick Stygian back up, dust it off, and try again. I imagine I'll have learned a lot from my work on Mantis by then, and will be better equipped to try some of the things I've got floating in my skull as regards curing.
