Smash can be used at any time, so don't worry. I don't need to wait for a nighttime. I can use it DURING the nighttime though. I'll have to ask Silf how that'lll work though. If it triggers before or after Tenshi does her stuff.

Of course, the real question is if I do have to use my smash, or we can get the Arsonist first. See, I am now absolutely certain that Tekora is our vig. Let's look over everything. He's been trying to kill every night, only stopped by Shulamit's roleblocking. Think where we'd been if he had killed every night. He's still the one who ninjalynched Gleip without giving him a chance to defend himself. Now he's suggesting that Saran dayvig the firefighter before I've even had a chance to speak, much less use my power. What more do you need?

Honestly. I'd say Saran should be sending the killer doll at Tekora. That's where you'll find the SKer, and we can all move on to the last target.

And either way if you believe me or not, listening to him is the worst that you can do. Only good can come to town from me using my smash ability. Killing me before I use it will just allow the arsonist to win unless you for sure nail him with the lynch today.

Anyway *tosses V a bottle of sake* I'm gonna go get smashed at a nightshift at work. It'll be about 20 hours until I can post again. Sorry, but work comes first.

We need confirmation on how your known ability works.

Also it is not just Tekora but an investigator that is saying this.

Thirdly, if Xavius is right then you are scum and probably the arsonist just waiting for us to hit night to use your ability.
Tekora2010-05-07 22:21:27
There is so much wrong with Kira's post that she should be regretting ever posting it. I'm shocked Saran hasn't already killed her. I'll deconstruct the post once I get home in about a 1/2 hour.

Stalling and making up excuses for not smashing. Strike 1.

Trying desperately to implicate me and get Saran to waste his daykill on me when she's already been outed by the investigator and her guilt is a foregone conclusion. It's a textbook scum tell, Shiri tried to use it a few games back. It didn't work for him either.

And I never said to kill her before she can talk, I only said that she'd be uncooperative. Which she's proved with flying colors. Strike 2.

Translation: "I know I've lost, and there's no way I'm smashing the keystones, so screw you all, I quit." Strike 3.

Saran, fire when ready.
Tekora2010-05-07 22:59:37
And Siam, make sure you use your Global Block tonight, or the Arsonist wins.
Tekora2010-05-07 23:40:02
But DON'T use it if Kiradawea is the Arsonist and we don't have to worry about the bomb, that way Xavius can get another ability.

Stupid no edit rule.

Okay.

Anyway, I think we're all forgetting that the plan at the moment is for Saran to daykill Kira. After this one, we've yet to face another challenge - who to lynch? But we'll get to that.
Siam2010-05-08 00:11:55
Kira can't be the arsonist. Recall that there were two deaths last night.

Yes, one was Kanako and the other was me killing Shulamit.

We're not sure if Kiradawea is Kanako or if she's Tenshi. That's why you're going to use your global block tonight to prevent Tenshi from hitting the bomb, if it turns out that Kiradawea is Kanako and not Tenshi.

Get it?
Xavius2010-05-08 01:00:39
No one is daykilling Kira until we have a better plan, unless we want said plan to end in Tekora's lynch.
Xavius2010-05-08 01:04:00
And wow, I must've been sleepier than I thought the first time I read Kira's post. sad.gif

Sweetheart, you know we're playing Smalltown, right? You can't bluff and make up scum roles to suit your fancy.

You know we can't lynch Kiradawea right?

For Kiradawea to die, she must be daykilled
Unknown2010-05-08 02:39:40
Need that smash if we can get it. It's unfortunate Xavius couldn't get to copying it sooner.
Xavius2010-05-08 03:25:24
The plan was to copy it tonight. It's strange how having better information messes with plans, eh?

Ok, so, worst case, Kira is scum and not the arsonist, Kira does not agree to screw over the arsonist, the arsonist has been working all this time, hasn't targetted anyone we've killed, and we've got three marked targets. If we lynch wrongly, we're left with two people, and we lose. If we don't lynch, we're left with three, and we can hope that they figure it out.

Best mathematical scenario is that the arsonist has been using his public power this whole time, and while we'll have lots of time left after going all voodoo on Kira, the only power left at our disposal to verify hunches will be two shots of Saran's tracker doll. We'll have two turns to figure it out, assuming that Tekora cooperates.

Another alternative would be to sic Arix on Kira and have me copy the power. This has the potential to still invoke the worst case scenario above, with three and four people respectively, except that we'd have two scum left. I would like to find a way to make this route work, except I don't think it can with the powers we have remaining.

Arix died eliminating Shiri. sad.gif
Xavius2010-05-08 03:40:47
I forgot about that...

Hey Kira, can we appeal to your vindictive half and get you to go all smashy-smashy on the keystones right now?

Dependent on who dies today/tonight, if kira is scum it's automatic win for her.

Also Arix is dead. At the moment, I think that if Silferras confirms that smash is a day power and Kiradawea refuses to do so then she dies because it then highly likely that she is the arsonist.

If Kiradawea is the arsonist then either Siam or Xavius would be the final scum because Tekora would likely cleared by last nights double-kill and I blocked Vendetta last night.

Likely Siam actually, his is the only power we know has not been used and this would have allowed Shiri to use his power each night phase too as Arix blocked Xavius on the first night he would probably be cleared too.
Xavius2010-05-08 03:53:27
Kira does not survive to this night. That's decided. You're going to have to kill her after we sort out the rest.

Yes, I forgot to post this.

If we don't daykill Kiradawea today, we risk losing the ability to kill her completely. We're currently at 6 players, we need majority-plus-2 to lynch her. That's 6, and obviously she won't vote for herself. I could TRY killing her at night, but she has her protection that she's not going to give up and Kira would probably use her Supershot or the Keystone bomb tonight to get rid of me.

No matter what, we have to daykill Kira today. If not, we lose. As for what we can do down the road, we can guarantee another day phase by using Siam's global block tonight. Once we get to Day 5, I'll start mapping out Endgame scenarios, because there's still too many paths we can take from this point, though they all branch from two main courses of action.

Daykill Kira -> Global Block -> Guaranteed Day 5

Don't daykill Kira/lynch a townie (Town = 3 left)-> Global Block -> Saran daykills Kira Day 5 -> Mafia brings townie count down to 2 OR Arsonist triggers Bombs, possible win for Arsonist
Unknown2010-05-08 03:56:49
Just for the sake of opinion - should I be using my swap power anymore at this point? It seems like it is a bit limited at this point, and unreliable in providing any new information.
