Xiel is amazing Already has aeonics and paradigwhatevers up!
Xiel2010-04-04 06:10:14
Sorry about the delay - was at a family thing. Anyways, yes, both of them are all up now. Hooray for people willing to help .
Edit: Boo server lag. I dislike it right now.

Changing someone's age permanently without their consent seems like a bad idea but other than that the skills seem really cool!
EDIT: I'll also add that I already have my hands full as is with maneuvers and targetting. It'll be good to see more trill/mugwump knights but things are going to get really complicated. And I have it easy since a lot of my Night skills are passive.

A ten power utility skill with no long or short-term combat value.

Well yeah, but age does give some useful information (roughly when you character was created) and it would be cool if age did confer some benefits/penalties later down the road. It would be nice to just have the option of to accept or reject. If you reject maybe the effect would wear off at logout.

D.O.B apparently does not change

That's a -lot- of power to do it on a whim, and someone else can fix it later; just have to keep track of the true year you were born.
Edit: And if it doesn't change that, then no real issue except that you can be older than your parents...

Sooooo excited! I've been wanting the Templars to open up for Lucan to join for a long time! Really wish I could be a founder, but of course, the chances of that happening are el zilcho. Oh well, will just be happy to join.

I anticipate some major change to Paradigmatics will be required sooner or later, with regards to doling out and taking advantage of insanity. Or a change to Wildnodes events and the final staff claiming in Ascension events. Here we have a regularly recurring conflict with power rewards in which one org has what appears to be significant inherent advantages. Or... jeez, a TA on the line.
I'm reminded of Stealth's original version of Veil and its ludicrous potency in the Chaos Hamsterhunt.
Beyond that, Aeonics and Paradigmatics look way fun. I love the concepts, and hope they find a way to hold onto that after any necessary changes occur.

You looked at both skillsets and you're more worried about Paradigmatics being abused?
Paradigmatics does look cool, don't get me wrong (I'm going Illuminati eventually), and maybe the insanity thing will be OP, but on paper Aeonics looks downright friggin' frightening, especially when you consider group combinations.
Guess we'll see once everyone gets the cure lines/mechanics in and fighting starts up again!

Aeonics is to make up for the Aeromancy-Pyromancy gap. Also, Anisu owes me ten credits.

Why oh why did I have to miss the opening/Elostian being awake and letting people in the guild?
Hey, this wasn't my choice. I had to be up till 3am because some idiot decided to kill the Templar mob!
Rodngar2010-04-04 09:43:24
Leaving to go to sleep, and I just know when I wake up, the Templar founder slots will be full - figures as much. I always do this to myself.
EDIT: I LOVE Paradigmatics, haha.

Esano2010-04-04 09:53:37
Just a note, but I was informed the insanity in Paradigmatics isn't astral insanity, but rather a new affliction. Should probably start referring to astral insanity as neurosis now.
Veyrzhul2010-04-04 12:11:43
Hmm, a roomwide passive effect to get enemies into kill condition and then a roomwide insta upon that kill condition... looks nasty in groups. Will have to be seen how being 'warped' is implemented affliction- and cure-wise. But I really like the ideas behind both skillsets. Hadn't I just switched org &guild, I'd probably become a Sentinel.
Zalandrus2010-04-04 13:38:38
The new skills look awesome. Resisting the urge to city-hop now...
Siam2010-04-04 14:10:53
