I'm sure we'll release the Guardian guilds as soon as we feel we're ready to.

In unrelated news, is it just me, or does it seem like Gaudiguch kinda got the shaft on both flavour and combat ability with Paradigmatics?

For my part, I'm happy that we finally see what those butterflies are in Project Paradox. Both of the new skills seem very flavorful to me, though maybe Aeonics just a bit more, but either of them more flavorful than the lion's share of other skills already in the game, so I don't see that either side has much to complain about. (As for combat balance, I don't know that anyone can tell that yet, but I'm sure that I can't.)

I have to give people credit: At least they waited to hear one-line descriptions of the finalized skill sets before fretting that they would be overpowered.

I do think its wise to pace the opening of guilds and I have said that I'd space them out at least two months apart (remember when everyone was agreeing that it was a good idea?). Anyway, the skills for guardians aren't complete and I don't want to rush finishing them at this point. Plus we'll have some time to observe Paradigmatics and Aeonics in action. I can guaranty we won't be releasing them this month and will give a very soft target of end of May/start of June. For those of you who think that's a long way off, trust me, the time will fly!

Now if only Hardari would chat us up about taking that offer to be a founder up..

Also, keep the good work coming - Paradigmatics and Aeonics look like absolute BLASTS.

I'm not worried about OP, I'm worried about UP.

Tell your Achaean friends to play Lusternia. If they ever get into it they'll come to see it's the better mud in the same way that IE < Firefox < Opera.

Fixed that for you.

I've always found both Chrome and Opera to be more sluggish than Firefox, without any novel features that make them worthwhile to use instead. Opera's scrolling is also a bit weird, but that may just be a setting I need to tweak.

Okay, okay, I'm movin' away from off-topic posting now....

This! Let them know that there's actually -stuff to do- in Lusternia besides lolraid! It's what kept me coming back.

So Opera has finally fixed that devastating memory leak which occurs while watching in-browser divx movies?
Late, I know. Blame Itkomi.

No idea. I actually cannot use a lot of plugins (flash, Java, and Linux do not always play nice) so if I really need watch youtube or try an applet I use my laptop and switch to IE or FF. To make matters worse, many sites do not support Opera period so webpages can look funky, buttons don't work or go missing, and there are many other random hassles.

Opera has its fair share of warts but for my needs (mostly browsing and reading) the text looks a lot more pleasing and the tabs are cached on disk. It also has wonderful defaults which is useful if I'm using some random computer which was common when I was in university.

At some point in 2008 I tried many browsers (just like I've tried many muds and many mud clients) and Opera came out top. Maybe in 2020 IE will be awesome, it's not likely but it could happen.

EDIT: Wait, that would be 2012. Nevermind!

I love Opera.. only reason I stopped using is because my bank website no longer supports it sad.gif Lame reason I know, but it's better than having to choose which browser I want to use depending on what I'm going to be doing.

No longer supports it as in it actively breaks under Opera, or they've put in a check that says "Sorry, use another browser." If it's the latter, you can just change your browsers user agent string and get around it.

Yeah, I think I tried that? I know I had to do that with certain other websites too. It's been a while since I changed, but it must not have worked if I did indeed change.
