Sometimes MCCP (the compression) prevents that last bit of text from coming through. It was a longstanding bug with MUSHclient, which I think was fixed a while ago. Don't know about other clients.

Do you use Nexus, Noola? I think it is automatically set to kick you back to the login screen on logout. You should be able to toggle off that option somewhere.

I never started seeing it until I started using MUSH, which doesn't have a login screen to kick you back to.

No, I use Mushclient.

How do you get to see how many games you play? It doesn't show up when I log off.

This used to happen for me on whichever client I used, even Nexus. If you look quickly enough when logging out of Nexus you can sometimes catch it.

You can also set Nexus to not go back to the logon screen when you're done.

It can happen when half the reviewers reject it and half approve it, causing it to sit at a middle-of-the-road value and no one can approve or reject it. I've seen it occur a few times.

Is there any way to fix it? sad.gif

I have the latest version of Mushclient. sad.gif Is there a setting I need to toggle or something?

4.55 is the latest. 4.43 is the one "advertised" on the main page. I wouldn't recommend upgrading past 4.51, at least until 4.56 fixes a couple of issues with saving plugins in 4.54/4.55.

Ctrl+G to open your world properties, Appearance -> Output, check Disable compression, reconnect.

Nope.

Well, that kind of sucks. I'd like to use the design some day, it was for a contest in the guild. losewings.gif

Not even switching to nomortalreview?
Noola2010-08-05 15:11:43
Maybe request a new design of the same pattern, recall that one, copy over all the info and submit the new one in its place?

Well, I suppose that would at least draw the Charites' eye to it, yes. So, that is to say, if your design has been sitting on the queue for a week or more and nothing's come of it, you can certainly swap it to nomortalreview. It will at least draw an admin's eye to it.

I'll do that then. losewings.gif

Huh well that's kind of weird, cuz I've always seen how the "You've played X games." Even when I played Imperian and that was about 7 years ago. I've always used Nexus too, though now I'm using the other IRE client thingy mabob.

The coolest advice I've ever learned is also the advice that I shamefully don't always follow:

When you're dealing with customers, public relations or anyone whose opinion of you matters in the work force, don't overreact about something in their direction. If you find yourself so frustrated that you can't contain yourself and your first instinct is to wig out and email said person something nasty, calling him or her a destitute, washed up husk of a talentless person, type up the email. Make it long. Make it juicy. And then delete it.

It's cathartic and it will keep people from perceiving you as hot-tempered, or worse.

I write up long emails.

And then I send them.

Poor Estarra!

I actually do that quite often - it's my cathartic release over the silliness I see! Like the forums. shocked.gif

How do you address emails to those whose address you do not know?
Shulamit2010-08-05 21:55:13
But...if they registered, He would know the emails, no? *hide*
Druken2010-08-05 21:56:30
Silly Xenthos. It doesn't HAVE to be email. It can be like a long post here. Or a notepad.

Or a quill and paper.
