If you have a way of making her official, I'll break the engagement so you can. Otherwise... she's mine. But yeah. Compromise is possible.

Break the engagement, have her consider her parents, then propose again. She can consider her parents at the same time she considers you, so long as that's the order.

K, sweeeet. I will do that.

I just lost an election to a dormant guy. He got almost twice as many votes as I did.

So dumb. Seriously, voters. doh.gif

Why is that. Maybe the voters have a very good reason to vote as they did?

I have a feeling it was a combination of people not knowing Shedrin wasn't going to be coming around and people being pissy with me for not defending.

PROTIP: I can't defend because my connection craps the bed every time I get near too much action and I disconnect. Dear Hallifax: stop whining at me for it.

EDIT: And also, really, what is "very good reason" enough about anything I've done that makes voting for Phoebus worse than voting for someone who is holding up the city and the guild by disappearing? If I'm not what you guys want, find someone who is to contest with me and that would be cool. Don't just go, "nah this girl sucks let's keep the dormant guy." Because that doesn't help anyone.

Unless you're running for Champion, your fighting or not fighting shouldn't matter, IMO. Now, if you're running for Champion and you don't fight, it does kinda make sense.

Eh just to note Anisu is dormant so this is not a thing I am really involved in.

I was just saying not voting for the active candidate is not necessarily a dumb thing, and in general (eg not saying anything about Phoebus or any other candidate in game) in leadership it is a falsehood that any candidate is better then an inactive one.

I agree. But I keep being treated like I'm offending everyone by not fighting, and I'm starting to get incredibly sick of it.

EDIT: Anisu, sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm just irritated and tired of people thinking I'm useless.

But it is beautiful in such a, non-synthetic and non-symmetrical way. So what is the point?

Next you are probably going to exchange the crystal spires for something more vibrant, like palm trees!

Damned gardeners... dry.gif

Non-symmetrical? Kid. You have a lot to learn.

And this gives me another idea.

Crystal palm trees!!

And for Phoebus, in elections, people usually vote for their friend. If you know one personally, and the other not, you vote for the one you know personally. Not to mention that since it is a "everyone knows everyone" vibe to the game, slander makes its rounds very quickly.

Those trees are ALL asymmetrical, simple placing them in a symmetric pattern will not change that.

Trees might be asymmetrical, but they're living fractals!

A link

And fractals are all mathematical and stuff, so that would fit nicely in Hallifax! biggrin.gif

Hallifax. LOVES. Fractals. Fractals everywhere. Stealing tree fractals as a reason for Phoebus to finally start gardening in Hallifax laugh.gif.

I am on board with the Hanging Gardens of Hallifax. However, you have to use your ScienceTM to genetically engineer the plants into perfectly symmetrical and/or fractal shapes for Llesvelt's sake. Some of them should probably be made out of crystal and gems, too, since there is not enough of that in Hallifax already.

This also gets my stamp of approval.

You guys can say it's art! You guys can say it's part of science in exploring how life grows/interacts with each other! You can even go on about how different set ups can change how plants and animals grow or how different environments effect things! Endless possibilities!

Interning at corp and working on some big projects makes me realize how tangled a mess real life code can be.

To be honest, I think the Gardens idea is great too, I just felt like argueing.

We already have enough crystal gardens.
