Answer: yes.

I always get first notification of this stuff because people send me their contracts. smile.gif (Which I then destroy because wtf, why do I need all of these letters?)

Hey, I'm standing in the mail room with a useless letter. What would you do with it?
Kiradawea2010-08-16 19:50:05
Is it just me, or is there a much larger amount of "nom nom nom" in the game currently?

At a complete loss as to what the appearance for my customised staff should be. Got the examined and dropped down fine, but, completely blanking on what should be the easiest part. crazy.gif

HD blows up, none of the Windows OS work, forced to install Ubuntu.

Cannot make Java work on Firefox.

Extracted Mudlet but having issues making it run.

No tangible connection to Lusternia - FML. sad.gif

What kind of issues? You should be able to install it from the mudlet PPA if you're on ubuntu.

If you're using the binary installer, make sure you run it using the run-mudlet.sh script provided, or the .desktop file provided.

Well, there are a few hitches with 5-7-5 style of haiku in English. You can describe a lot more than you can in Japanese with that amount of syllables, given the nature of both the languages. So it's not really like any haiku in English is a "real" haiku. Also, I neglected a seasonal reference. don-t_mention.gif
Lendren2010-08-17 00:50:11
It's certainly true that haiku in English are a somewhat different creature because of what you can say within those rules, but that doesn't change that there are rules, any more than the rules about rhyming don't apply when crossing between romance languages where rhymes often come from gender and conjugation suffixes to other languages where that doesn't happen so much.

Lendren is nitpicky
Why is he so mad right now?
No one truly knows
Aicuthi2010-08-17 01:22:42
Preaching to Hallifax about rules and laws. *waggles finger*

Edit:
PS, art will never have rules.
Shaddus2010-08-17 01:30:07
Did kial just pwn/Lendren with some bad haiku?/pretty sure he did.
Lendren2010-08-17 01:59:49
Well, something that superficially resembles pwning but isn't, using something that superficially resembles haiku but isn't. Also that superficially resembles the topic but isn't.

On another topic. Fully deffed, from full health, first attack:

With visible strain, a gigantic blob of slime flings a globule of muck at you. You howl in pain as the driblet sticks to your skin and begins to sizzle.
Your magic tome warms as it absorbs damage.
One of your ancestral spirits swirls before you and is dispersed as it absorbs some of the attack.
You have been slain by a gigantic blob of slime.

Wonder what would have happened if my tome hadn't kicked in. And these things are attacking unranked people at the nexus, too. Yay, another event. I guess it's time to log off until it's done.
Aicuthi2010-08-17 02:09:26
Lendren is so mean
Like Lisaera's PMS
Crone's frigid winter
Lendren2010-08-17 02:23:09
That's two of the rules met! Getting closer.

They like to start the precursors to these events way, way in advance.

That said, there's nothing that says this in particular is part of it.
Aicuthi2010-08-17 04:24:01
That was a fun event. Too bad I had disconnects on all of the most important parts.
