It's time to sleep and stop designing when I start thinking that doing all blue designs is a smart idea.

I'm sure it could work out!

No thanks to Avenger removal. I actually quite like the system even if it has its odd quirks here and there.

...must make designs using that now! Shiny...plates....so delicious to eat off of...

You can only have two heartstones spinning around someone else at a time. Why? Wasn't it limited enough in use?

Can we please fix/delete Dreamweaving (aka the Official Skill of the True Griefers)?

Still can't hit a dreamweaved person and they still (ab)use that fact?
Edit:: cause yanno they have "no way of telling if that bug still exists or not" <- actual quote

And please let us have outdoor chandeliers (windchimes) at nexii! It's bad enough that the more mighty and amazing demigods can kill level-40 non-enemies through shields at their own nexus while abusing a bug that prevents anyone even seeing him or doing anything at all to him, but there's nothing keeping that kind of Glory from happening over and over and over. At least give us an equal chance at some warning. The only thing more ridiculous than an unstoppable kill at the nexus on someone too young to even have a sip reflex and who never attacked anyone, is the idiot who does it.

Before we go on another forum Jihad against weavers, what EXACTLY is the problem you are facing? What specific abilities is the weaver in question using?
Unknown2010-08-23 18:37:02
It's the whole skill, since you can't use Indigo/Chockmah to see them or Violet/Kether to hurt them (most of the time). If anyone has details enough to reliably reproduce this scenario, we can get it fixed and all will be well again!

I've never been a big user of Dreamweaving, but is it because they can move in and out of the room, or Violet/Kether just isn't hitting them?
Unknown2010-08-23 18:48:29
It's been known for a long time that the abilities doesn't work, but Dreamweaving is some of the most complicated code in the game, so it's never been properly reproduced and fixed. There's also the problem that sometimes the physical body "teleports" to the dream body when it shouldn't, which means the tracking of the two separate things gets screwed up somewhere. And, I've heard that communications and other interactions can be weird for a dream body, but I don't have firsthand experience with that.
Unknown2010-08-23 18:57:28
It'd be just easier to recode Dreamweaving into what old ecology transmigration used to be: When you go into dreamform, make your mortal body a simple mob that people can bash, and if they do, you die. That way, the problem with Rapture freaking out about two objects of the same ID (or whatever it is Roark said the problem was) does not happen at all. To balance it out, make it impossible to go into dreamform at nexii or places with a monolith sigil or something.
Shaddus2010-08-23 19:02:31
Or, you know, make eye sigils work for dreamforms. Or make your shield drop when your dreamform moves.
Unknown2010-08-23 19:04:20
Pretty sure the problem is with dreamform being buggy, not so much dreamform being crazy OP or whatever.

Not only that, but indigo/chockmah doesn't show them. Unless you already know who the culprit is likely to be, you can't even tell who's doing it until the deathsight. If you do know, you can try to violet/kether, but you just get the generic "he's not here" message. Meanwhile the lowbie's dying while he tries to figure out how to cure an affliction (he doesn't actually have one, all he can see is he's suddenly taking damage), and you can sprinkle salt around him but the attack just ignores it.
Actually I'm not even sure if a chandelier would also fail to twinkle in this situation. Maybe it would. Since only a few nations are allowed to have a chandelier, I've never had opportunity to find out. That disparity is a separate, and almost equally infuriating, issue, since it all derives from some wildly incorrect idea Estarra has about forests full of chandeliers in every room.

Dreamweaving going through shields sounds like it's a bug. Just my opinion.

Problems I see with changing to a mob is that you can nolonger teleport/summon them. Killing a dreamweaver with violet/kether is a mather of having a lot of people doing it and so in extremely ineffective either way when someone goes to an enemy nexus to kill a novice so killing their body is the only way you can actually deal with it.
Another issue with dreamweaving is you can have your body in absolute safety, making monoliths/nexii places where you can not go in to dreamform will not fix this as they will just go to a manse and link to follow someone out. And even if they are in a non monolithed room in their org (still summon protection from outside the org), defenders shouldn't have to raid another org to kill a dreamweaver at their own nexus.
I always found there should be a method to hinder a dreamweaver with web like abilities. And also if they don't do so already have monoliths and distort prevent bodysnap.
