Cityrank One cannot perform an organization's epic quest.

No clue about Gaudiguch's power quest - I've seen quite a lot of people doing it, on a quick skim of your power log, so it's working just fine afaik.

It is for me specifically that it doesn't work. I got some rocks made and got another guy up to Drachou. Drachou just ate the rock I gave him, but when the other guy gave a rock to Drachou, he spat out a butterfly like he tends to do.

And yeah, I'm trying to do the first part. But before I can do that, I'm supposed to BOW (I think it was that emote at least. I was told the specific emote by one who had just done it, so I did test it several times with the correct one) before Drachou and get the instructions to do so. He doesn't give those instructions, so I'm hesitant to go and do the quest, only to find that I need to redo it again, because it was indeed bugged.

It has to be that you can't do it at CR1, then. The power quest may be bugging for you because of the fact you're on the step of the honour quest. Not like you'll lose your progress on the honour quest, just participate in the next revolt, write a book, or defend or raid or something to get some favours so you can finish it up!

Heck if you're CR1, just get some scholars/bards or otherwise add 100 power to the Flame in one "weave".

I do defend. I wrote about four pages worth about what freedom is, and so on. Still no favour.

Yeah. I tried that. Sources of bards and power tended to dry up right before I got over the edge needed for a rank. Quite funny actually.

I find that hard to believe. Clearing one of the four elemental planes once gives you over 100 power worth of essence (assuming a couple of the Fire Lords are empowered, which they are), and I've yet to see all four planes empty at a time. Just clear Fire twice, confirm with an aide, message Kalin "I put in 200 power, give me CR2", done.

I only recently figured out an actual way to get to the elemental planes. But thank you for bugging in on matters you have nothing to do about.

Message a council member, it sucks but people do get missed. I'm sorry to say it, but you can't keep expecting people to take notice of you, you have to make people take notice of you. It's really the only way to get ahead, to get CR6 (despite being part of the Cool Kidz Club), I had to pester Kalin constantly over things I had done.

It might not be too late to still get favours for some of the past things, and while my character may on occasion appear standoffish or distracted (I do lots of things at the same time), if you send her a tell, she'll be more than happy to bring you up to fire quickly.

Just trying to offer my two cents in the conversation in order to help.

Pretty sure you getting rank or doing the epic quest in the city I and the people commenting are leaders of.. makes it something of our business.

These aren't pretendy fun-time games. IRE games consume your life and eat your soul, like crack cocaine or heroin. We rage for hours with glomrage or monkrage or gaudibs, occasionally smashing things while screaming. (I've lost a laptop to lusternia). This is the validation of our existence, because it has consumed every other aspect of our lives. We work so we can buy credits. I found Gaudiguch refreshingly easy to gain cityrank in. There are clearly stated goals that anyone can perform, up to CR3. That was a nice change from desperately waving your hands to try and gain the attention of someone who can favour, and hoping they'll consider whatever you've been doing worthy, without arbitrarily deciding that you've been trying too hard to gain their attention, and are just trying to gain rank and therefore don't deserve it.
