The desire is for a demi who will funnel much gold in that direction.
Oh, right. I forgot I was in Tweets and not the Questions thread, and the prior context did not click.

The great thing about censers in neutral / unclaimed territory: Only people who want to bother need to, nobody is forced to. Unless their organization makes them, I suppose, but that would be silly.
Unlike Druids / Mages, people with censers can't meld, so it's always possible to clean it up if you care that much! Or just ignore it if you don't.

I'm just not that big of a fan of artifacts that give someone a guild ability that is faster and costs less than the actual guild ability.

How does it cost less? And how is it faster?
It's the exact same ability. Same costs and all.
It only affects casting time if you're a Mage/Druid (it provides a bonus, so that's the incentive for one of them to buy it).

It is? Then I need to go beat Iasmos, who told me it cost less power and was faster.

It's not possible to cost less power and be in any way balanced, heh. The guild skill is 1p. Censer is 1p. Same speed unless you're a Druid/Mage in which case it provides a bonus.
If censers used 0p, complaints would definitely need to be lodged, that would be quite insane.

I was under that assumption, hence my feeling of "wot?" when it came to the censer. Good to know that, while they are still annoying, they are no more annoying than a regular druid trying to be annoying .

Nah.
A Druid can break melds. They can also make their own melds to make things 'annoying' for others.
Just plain terrain isn't that big a deal. A demesned road through Serenwilde, on the other hand, is a different matter entirely.

I said that the censer costs less and was faster than Trueground, not a druid's/mage's ability to change the terrain.
And, you're welcome to borrow my censer and reforest any place you like, Everiine! Happy to share the power costs for it.

Bah for mishearing. Somewhere I thought you had said that it cost less than normal terraining, which confused me to no end.
EDIT: I'm around a lot...

Is anyone suddenly unable to use speedwalks/paths...?
Aubrey2010-08-29 01:21:52
Went to watch Pokin and Pekin get put in their place, since there's so little entertainment around here anymore, but it took so long that by the time they finally got dealt with, I was just annoyed.

Sometimes I just want to run away to Glomdoring, where the grass is simultaneously greener and slightly more mauve.

Occasionally they get messed up, and you have to reset them somehow. Let me guess, you find the path, and when you try to start, you just stand there?

Learnt that we can make bookCASEs instead of just bookSHELVEs, and standalone curtains instead of just drapes with tagged on curtains.
