Zoaka is still broken so no epic quest.
There are plenty of other things I could do in the game, I know, but every time I encounter that it's like a brick wall of frustration.

I don't know, when people ask me about the epic quest, I'm usually conducive... provided that they have an idea of what they're doing. If it's just "how do I start the epic quest" I tell them to go talk to and help out all of Serenwilde's original denizens.
People start off thinking "okay I want to do Seren's epic quest". It shouldn't be like that! It should be "I want to know everything about my commune and its denizens, because that'll make me a better person!"
I know I figured it out mostly by myself, months before epic quests.

If Gleip cannot do it all himself, he can get a Seren to help him. Seren do help other Serens complete the quests. We just don't like non-Serens poking around too much.

Not only that, but epic quests tend to be especially ridiculous. You can count the number of people who figured out nai'dorin on their own on one hand - everyone else had to have hours of effort put into walking them through it, explaining WHEN to do this and what NOT to do ever, and even then, it's still possible to screw it up because there are so many variables involved, and one mistake can force you to have to wait for the next new moon.
Actually, you can count the number on Zero hands.
The quest was really neat... but thoroughly bug-riddled, I spent a very long time (week and a half+) going through it again and again and again talking with an Admin about what was supposed to happen, why it was not happening, what was needed, etc.
Then after that a couple weeks showing people how to do it, and they've been showing people / helping out since then.
Even if you manage the nai'Dorin by yourself, g'luck figuring out that you need a Crow Cloak to even hand that crown in on your own.

So, oh, I don't know, help me when I ask for help? There's a reason I've had to turn to Kira to get the influencing part done.

Haven't been around when you've asked, only time I've interacted with you regarding Epic quest was when I was wondering why you had Renthur with you while doing the quest. And I helped with the influencing bit after that, whatever little was left.

I think a lot of it has to do with the idea that you're supposed to figure out quests yourself, which I can understand, but which I also don't agree with since so many quests are not really something that can be "figured out" so much as "found out" by massive quantities of trial and error.
But it wasn't very long ago that it was IRE-wide policy that you don't tell people how to do quests, period. It's no surprise some people are still thinking that way.

The exception to this rule was always conflict quests and prophesy quests. (since they were considered needed)
Anyway I agree with the rest that the main sentiment was 'wtf she isn't seren go away' (even worse you are in an org allied with an enemy nation).
I never heard Gleip ask for help, though admittingly I would not have given more then directions seeing I do not even know of Gleip.

It's all about asking the right people. If one won't help you, they either 1) don't know how to help you and don't want to admit it, or 2) aren't worth your time. Move on to the next.

It's somewhat depressing when I get people that really should know better doing reply tells. The conversation goes somewhat like:
'Howdy.' <--- That's me
'So I said that's retarded, you just can't fit a monkey into that small a box.'
'Tsk tsk, reply tells are bad, don't use them.'
'Fiiiine, sorry.'
'Well, just as long as you've learnt your lesson.'
'Yeah, especially the boxes with the spikes in.'
'You did it again, didn't you?'
'...Shut up >.>'

Reciting thoughtfully, you say, "Oh, my Lord Lyreth. To upset Him is to let fish fall from the sky."
Lyreth claps His hands together merrily.
Lyreth, the Sidereal Prince has bestowed His divine truefavour upon you. It will last for 1 month.
-flex- I love my Order.

Exactly. Except with Tedd it's more like him saying "stop messing up my replies!" and me saying "stop using reply!"

Flaunt the ego, see who agrees, and use that to further future projects/RP.
That, and I just really, really liked the rant. I miss being that sarcastic.
