Yeah, having to influence to get our edge doesn't really work the best when we have to influence to win the village in a revolt too.
... Except that you know roughly when the revolt is, and you know when you're at level 3 (which was weeks before the revolt). Influencing it was just silly.
Also not the first time it's happened for you guys.

The denizens really ought to reset instantly when the village goes up. I always figured they did, in fact, so much I'd almost call it a bug they don't. Maybe someone should envoy that, or whatever's the method of getting ideas like that considered that works these days.

'Vehement tweet ranting'
Lendren2010-09-04 02:54:04
Maybe that works for some people, but not for me. Go ahead and repost my tweet in your own name if you think it'd help though.

Must have been a different person then complaining about guildhall invasions!

Just because we know better doesn't mean the newbies who are told what they should influence our villages know enough to pay attention to feelings.
I'm not complaining in any way. Just saying it's a bit awkward, when the same situation can and will happen in other villages, which is more difficult to keep track of if we haven't made it to devout by then. Please don't jump down my throat over something so silly.

Hey guise I lead too
We actually don't have MDs or Hartstone anymore, half the time. Maybe 3, at most - it's just that Seren's players tend to live on the opposite sides of the world from eachother, sometimes literally.

Teach them, then. It isn't hard to tell people, "Influenve villageX, but when you look at POLITICS VILLAGEX and it's Devout to Serenwilde, don't influence there anymore."

(Octave of the Spirits): You say, "I hate coding."
(Octave of the Spirits): You say, "Even if it's for a good cause."
Also this 'lose defenses on DC' thing is getting ridiculous.

Serenwilde is awesome! It's quite decent, really.

It's not even loses defences on DC. It's loses defences on relog.
Unknown2010-09-04 09:46:10
It was a 'fix to reduce lagging', evidently. What's saddening is that you lose all the powerdefs first but a number of non-power defenses remain intact.

I suppose it's possible the forum thread contributed, but I doubt that's what caused that change.

Yah, Alianna has been doing a lot to get people more organized in Seren. Lately I've just been too busy with my new semester starting to be around much. ):

Maybe on that other half of the world there's five Serens who are awake at the same time and willing to be in a play. I'm this close ->| |<- to giving up on producing this one, and about the same distance from giving up on writing them. Just once, it'd be nice if I could get a few people interested and have them actually show the heck up.
Shiri2010-09-04 14:54:15
Just so you know, if it's while I'm awake, I'd show up

Hey, send them our way, I'm sure we can get five people.

Or we could all go perform in the play in Serenwilde, while killing guards at the stage and fending off Serens who oppose cultural expression. It would be like an extended raid.

There are people in your organization who would take this kind of idea seriously, you know. (And no one to tell them to grow up.)
