Not unless you give them a reason to message... and even then..

The idealism is strong in this one.

I think any job which the success of depends upon the participation of others is doomed to eventually make its holder incredibly cynical and jaded.

No. NO.
Okay, yes, probably. But I promise to only be jaded and cynical on this side of the monitor.

You have the bestest job in Hallifax. Own it!

The Wayfaire reminds me just how much I hate fairgrounds in real life.
Dust, dirt, trash everywhere, sleazy employees and rigged games, baking in the heat or freezing in the rain outdoors, people dragging their snot-nosed wailing kids everywhere back and forth between overpriced rides and attractions.
If my eventual kids ever demand we go out somewhere, we're going to a library.

Welcome to leadership positions in Lusternia. The first lesson is that everyone sucks. The second is that everyone is lazy. Your job is to repeatedly prod them with a stick and to bend over backwards for them. Eventually you will do everything they have ever wanted, perform amazing cultural events for them, and your reward will most likely be a pat on the back.
Want to be the popular kid? Learn combat and forget how to do anything else.

I like saying stuff like that, but I do not actually believe it, I must attest
I had tons of fun when I was the Minister of Cultural Affairs, though, keeping positive-minded through it all in spite of the situation is sure to yield some manner of satisfaction. Remaining optmistic, I find, comes easy if your humor includes self-irony and laughing at horrible situations befalling yourself or just your character. Have some fun, watch it crash and burn, build it up again, inevitably to see it crash and burn again.
Then again, that does not work for all, of course. In this case, I would advice that you remind yourself that I am usually wrong in most of my assumptions

Just look at me when I was minister, I had only one person actually apply for aide ship, yet I never really 'closed' apply for it either. the rest were past aides. People are lazy. I think people except the minister to do all the work in event planing

Too true. This is why I intend to keep my new guy very quiet and below the radar so he can do what he wants without being dragged into responsibilities.

Oh goodness, I so tried that. I thought I'd made a clean break when I left Hallifax, but then Sylandra reeled me back into the MoCA, then left the whole ministry on my lap! Vile woman!

Dearest Admin,
Before you implement changes, could you please announce them?
Sincerely yours,
Siam
edit:
Also, add bloated egos and airheads to the tweet. Seriously.
