(Yes, shouldn't forget Xenthos beating up all the Guardians because lol scientist/artist races having terrible DMP.)

You mean guilds? Though Trill/Lucidian resistances aren't bad, unless all the hits are fire damage.

Making Hallifax, with all its trill (who are already fragile) and lucidian, go against a bunch of denizens with a FIERY DEATH room-wide effect = OH GOD WHY

's all I'm sayin'.

It's all about the experience!

No, not the numbers, the joy of participation and finding new lore-stuff. Like starchum. And more dead Gnafia. The only good Gnafia-gnome is a dead Gnafia gnome.

... I'm pretty sure I've killed more Gnafia gnomes by this point than there are gnomes upon the Facility.

On death, they exploded. With a pretty high base damage explosion.

Then tack on a high critical rate... and multiple people attacking to make them die faster...
Ushaara2010-10-18 04:10:19
That holocaust device was ridiculous alright, was sure I was going to die. Spammed transmute as much as I could.

Despite not getting the village, I still think the whole thing was pretty awesome and for once I was around for pretty much most of it. Think I was also the first person to recognise the Gnafia connection so woo for me! Thank you, admins! wub.gif

(though there would be more love if it led to Lady Jadice's return. When we were told to look for snowy stuff I was sure that's what it was building to...)
Furien2010-10-18 04:11:12
I was pining for Jadice too. If only. sad.gif

In the end, while I still don't know what the hostile foliage of doom was about, this turned out alright.

Edit: The plants in particular were a nice change of pace. Undeniably dangerous and hostile, but it wasn't like facing 10 many-eyed dominators from the Illuminati/Institute event. Just one, with thirty times more health. Felt more momentous.

Yeah, and it allowed more people to participate without fear of mass-death. I liked that move.
Casilu2010-10-18 04:15:26
People kept walking in when I tried to solo them. sad.gif

And they didn't cause the client freeze from 500 dominators appearing at once, which was nice! smile.gif

(good xp too!)

Well, I'm sure we're all glad more people enjoyed the event.

Unfortunately, as with all events, things do have some open doors. For example, you could certainly have chased away Magnagora before you opened the chest - or you could have not asked Glomdoring to come help find everything on Frosticia.

While I'm sure we all recognize, and sympathize, over the frustration regarding the 5k gems, there's a slight sense of amusement regarding it. I mean, how Magnagora. ninja.gif

No real frustration on my part, I was there for the event. I like events. Have you noticed?

Also, nobody asked me to come, but they were all pretty happy to have me there when I showed up... ninja.gif

We needed you. sad.gif If we would have tried to take on the Protectorate, we'd have just been a lot of dead trills and lucidians. Those explosions friggin' HURT. I got psionic burnout and then some.

EDIT: Also, yeah...all the ice and cold...I had my fingers and toes and digits I didn't even know I had and couldn't find again if you asked me to look crossed that this was something to do with Jadice in SOME way. Not just...another village. Woo. Like we needed another one of those.
Ushaara2010-10-18 04:24:22
If only a certain someone announced where the village really was located on the city's channel rather than the squad's, Glom would have been looking in the wrong place and we would have gotten a headstart... tongue.gif

We already knew about it by that point anyways.

I got a tell a bit prior to that squad mis-channel (I think the denizen sent the tell to a number of us). Talan was already pretty much to the entrance.

Ah ok. No blame or self-blame needed so! smile.gif

Edit: Also were people actually annoyed about Mag stealing the gems? Fairly sure they're not that badly needed... Stockpile in Ministry of Trade is building up

Awesome beefcake lobo monk could have taken down some guards, but I was all, 'Maaan, how did I get dragged along on this? I just wanted to help smash some plants because Phoebus asked so nice.'

EDIT: This is the first time I've been around for a new village reveal. Wouldn't it be just terrifying for villagers who have been cut off from the adventurer population forever to suddenly get swarmed with influencers? Jeez. It might have been nice to just... let the village exist for a while before opening it for influence. Does that ever happen?

Sorry, I like events. sad.gif It's something interesting to do. But having this all end in a village was a little disheartening and I'm sorry you got dragged along.
