Why is the Illuminati staying so obscenely high up on topguilds? I never expected so many old players wanting to alt over to it.

Lots of drama in the other orgs, I guess? Not that Gaudiguch is drama-free, but maybe it's the kind of drama that attracts people instead of making them want to tear their hair out and claw at their faces. I see what you mean, though. Most of the other active guilds can pull a member score of about 80, but the next two highest on topguilds have half of the Illuminati's member score. ._.

EDIT: New weave, new scores. Still, the Illuminati have about a 50 point lead over the next closest guild.

Do not want. Why is it always the warriors and monks that get targetted by rebounding skills?

At least there are only three of those cloaks. dry.gif To be honest, an aura of magical rebounding would be pretty funny.

This about the revolt? It's only been an hour and a half, no?

At one point there was a three and a half hour revolt, mostly uncontested. It was only after the first three hours that the bug was fixed and influencing started counting again.

Hallucination mote!
Kiradawea2010-07-17 01:02:56
I've spent the last three hours or so destroying, building and enchanting statues. And when I'm done, I most likely won't have anything to show for it. That's Hallifax for ya.

I just wish I had a friend or someone to talk to, to ease some of this mind-numbing boredom.

Hallucination mote!

I guuuuess that's true, but it's still not the same thing. Something with a long EQ or high willpower or something to make it worthless in combat, that would let me put long, verbose dreams in the heads of random novices that pass out in front of me, telling them to go do something when they wake up, would feel me with such glee. Hallucinations have a 500 character limit, I think. I'm sure some of those longer dreams that are in game must be well over that.
Felicia2010-07-17 01:17:17
Still, even with the character limit, that sounds like a really cool role-playing tool.

IF this is to the Templars, whom Xavius posted it, it's a warrior guild. Sorry. They're rather expensive. You don't have to do the trans skills, there are enough tasks marked with "+" that are repeatable through all of them, that you don't have to do anything in the last Ranking aside from get master weapons. Which I put, because one, they're useful, and two, you're more than likely going to need it.

Also, here's something everyone seems to be missing. That help scroll says do this either before or during another advancement system which you come speak with one of three people say, I want to do this then you get an okay, or well how about we take that and work it so you do this? and then you do it, and you get a favour.

If my tone sounds harsh, it's not meant to be. Headache has kept me up all night, and it's still making my head throb.

Ah don't fret. We all have rough days. I'm just looking at the list of requirements, and noticing that both you and Arath are right. He's correct in that it is a very expensive ranktest. A full set of curatives usually ends up a waste for those who aren't heavily into fighting, and requiring plate mail is a bit like other guilds requiring Great robes. I haven't heard of that before.

But it is still easy. I could transfer there and be GR4 three days later, because I have the gold and credits to throw at the tasks. If you want the tasks to be difficult, then adding more minor work investments would be perfect. Guild history discussions are always a winner.

I'm sorry if I seem negative or nosy. It really isn't my intention, and I know it ain't easy to set this up. Good luck with your revision.

There is a completely separate advancement route as well though. Mine, for instance, is Exploration. So I'll get my first advancement when I reach Valley Runner. And as I continue to rise in the ranks I'll get more favors.

Every Templar has their choice of advancement routes, which is pretty nifty.

It's a delayed illusion that can only be seen by the person I hit with it. However few seconds before that the person is going to see.

And I just feel like there's more things that would, I guess make sense if it was a dream, rather then a hallucination.

Yeah, but the thing is. You don't have to do that, we have two advancement systems. One that you could completely ignore Attendants. If you don't like the general path put up, because the mandatory tasks aren't changing, then go do this one:
CODE
Greetings, Templars.
This scroll will detail the way in which those who have graduated from
novicehood may advance within our guild. In keeping with our spiritual
path, we have decided to move forward in a way that will be somewhat
unique. As each of us is a free shard, each of us may follow a different
path to enlightenment.
In keeping with this, any who wish to advance further in the guild
should speak with a member of the leadership- the guildmaster,
administrator or champion for the time being. Present what it is that
you would do to walk the path towards enlightenment. You must devise
your own goal, in good faith, and explain how it will better yourself
and advance your being.
Many things may suffice for this. For some, it will be proving to
themselves their combat ability. Others will delve into our writings or
arts, and others may hunt the land. Any, all, or paths apart from even
these are possible, limited only by your own horizons. In finding your
path, respect yourself, and respect your guild, and do not be foolish or
take tasks lightly.
In addition to this, we are the militant defenders of our free city, and
thus we strike a balance between the spiritual and the material. Those
who fulfill this task admirably and with diligence will be advanced for
this vital and challenging embodiment of our purpose.
If you wish to discuss your own path, or seek guidance on ideas for
advancement, do not hesitate to speak with the leadership, or other
members of this guild.
Walk in wisdom and freedom.

Actually, dia, you should make a quick alt in the Ninjakari and take a look at their advancement system. It is also a pretty nifty system that would fit well into what you're trying to do with an open, flexible system.
Kiradawea2010-07-17 01:37:31
Oooh. That's a very interesting setup. I like it. Does it work well?

And you know, technically, making statues all across the city should count for artistic merit... >.>

When people stop and look at it, yes it really does. I enjoy doing those more, in fact the only reason I ever made the Attendants in the first place was because people wanted something more general.

Edit: Also, go complain to Arte.

Hey, where is my favour for runing and enchanting almost half of our statues? sad.gif
Kiradawea2010-07-17 01:49:43
The city should. The city has practically no CR6 members. In revolts, we're lucky if there's one around with all org influences.
Unknown2010-07-17 01:54:16
Seriously though, instead of griping about it and building up animosity towards the city, just give me a list of things to complain about and I'll pass it on to Arte and probably accomplish a lot more. rolleyes.gif
Kiradawea2010-07-17 03:15:29
12 statues destroyed, enchanted and runed. I'm gonna go sleep now.

There needs to be a way to see how long is left for a beast's incubation.

And a certain Illuminati guildmistress needs to get a description!
Rodngar2010-07-17 03:52:44
I hate that I was bored enough to take glee in shoving around somebody who said some bad things about the Illuminati.
