Why is it I only want to write things when I'm not at my computer? I keep thinking 'Oh man, it's going to be so cool when I finish !' whenever I'm driving around or walking the dogs or something, but the second I sit down to write stuff it's like 'Oh man, this is woooork.' What is the deal?
Felicia2010-07-12 16:38:21
Good writing is always hard work, even for the best writers and authors. Also, writer's block is something I suspect everyone struggles with to some extent or another.

So, with the recent return of Shikari I have a question. I've always had a little infatuation with Shikari, is he a Glom only patron? Nienla says probably yes. Moar info pls.

I've had writer's block for months now. I used to write all the time about WoW-RP stuff, then I ran out of ideas. I can't think of ANYTHING to write for Lusternia.
And as someone who draws, I get artist's block all the time, which either means I can't think of anything to draw, or everything I draw looks like crap.
And Vathael, with affinity, I imagine you won't be able to get into any order other than those of Magnagoran Gods... COME TO MORGFYRE!

Lettuce and tomato are actively unpleasant people. Like all vegetables, they only make a sandwich soggy and unpleasant and take up space that would be better served by more meat. Or even more mayo. Only hippies claim to like lettuce and tomato in their sandwiches, and even then, they're probably lying.

I prefer tangy Miracle Whip to actual mayonnaise on sandwiches, but mayo is good too!

Was it any good? It looks like something that would leave me unsatisfied, even if it wouldn't kill me. All salt, breading, and meat, no flavor!

To begin with, I can't imagine how it could be anything else honestly. Affinity is unpleasant for essence income, though it can be overcome (especially if the person is low rank); the biggest problem is the sense of cohesion and unity needed to get the thing up and moving.
However, nobody knows what he intends yet, so there could always be a surprise. Or ten.

I liked it when I tried it!

I went to a barbecue at the weekend and everyone acted like I was nuts - or worse, greedy! - for putting four burgers in a single bun. (With melted cheese, naturally.) Everybody knows that vegetables make you impotent...
ongaku2010-07-12 16:45:22
Apparently I'm a hippy, because I love tomatoes and lettuce. I also like onions, pickles, black olives on some things, sometimes cucumber if I'm feeling in the mood for it.
Miracle Whip is equally as disgusting as mayonnaise. Ketchup I can do without, except on extremely rare occasions. Mustard, ultimately, is the only condiment worthy of my love and affection... oh, and Italian dressing. On the side. Though that depends on the sandwich. But always mustard.

Affinity makes me sad.
But, apparently there's a ban on speaking on the subject, so that's all I'll say.

I thought veggies made people gay, which would explain why I'm at least halfway there. I do love me some meat. Though... my loving meat might also explain my being half gay.
Noola2010-07-12 16:51:31
I love both the meats and the veggies! At a bbq, I love to eat burgers and pork chops and whatever else has been thrown on the grill, but I also love grilled asparagus and grilled corn and when you wrap an onion in tin foil and drop it in the coals and then squirt lime juice all over it when you eat it and kabobs with tasty bits of meat and tomato and onion and so on and just, yeah.
I like food.
I like food.

Wow. Pesukaru didn't even get a vote from his own ordermates.
Which is ok, because Pesukaru is pondering Shadowbeat. :plot:

I can't imagine Shikari being cool with foreign order members given his focus on loyalty, but who knows, they did the muddled memory thing, so maybe. I tried to join Him when I was in Hartstone, and it didn't work out too well.

There is a section in his tome which would make for some interesting arpee.

I've of the opinion that his war shrines are the coolest ones ever.

Basically, it's a dude impaled on a pike.
QUOTE
Blood coats the terrain in a thin, rippling sheet, the accompanying stench indicative of a war shrine of Shikari nearby.

Lair of the Ebonglom Wyrdling.
The shadows have been gathered here. The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. The massive bulk of the Ebonglom Wyrdling lies in coils upon the floor. There are 10 dark nighthags here. The scent of death radiates from a mangled corpse impaled here upon a sharpened pole. There are 20 shadowlord widowriders here.
You see a single exit leading east.

Coagulated blood and grey rot compose this grisly display, for the corpse itself is ruined beyond identification, the face largely torn away to expose half-eaten musculature and fractured bone. Twisted limbs hanging limply from fraying ligaments, a few joints missing from the blackened fingers and toes. Its torso lies bare, a mess of punctured, seeping lungs and cracked ribs, and great gashes disfigure its groin, ripping away muscle and intestines. Stripped of any former clothing it might have had, the carcass dangles from the length of a thick, sharpened pole, its black wood coated in rivulets of blood that gather in a pool upon the ground.
I hate to say it, but I think Shikari has beaten out Fain slightly in my love of text gore. Fain's are still bloody, but..... Shikari's are VIOLENTLY bloody. You know, like He strung up the dude himself. And laughed while He did it.
