It's kind of tradition to play with people doing their epic quests. With the Mag/Celest ones, it's even a requirement if both are working on it (only one side can win the sea battle).

This. Nienla and Sidd and some others camped Hifarae for hours when I was trying mine. The trick is to do Verasavir, then wait a few days for them to stop being on alert all the time. Or wait for 4am, like I did.

I still remember when Chalcedony was doing her epic quest and I helped her out. We had to do the Hand twice, and that alone once was more than double that amount of time.

You didn't stay up all day, did you? Some git just decided to mess around, extend the wait for 5 hours. E-agreement is made, fights stop. HERE COMES ALTHOPPER AND BAM KILLS Gromagh just when I was about to get the LAST centaur. Having done her stuff, she sits at nexus, and goes bahahahaha suffer. Besides, the Hand quest has a season requirement thing, which is supposed to make it take a lot more time than the hifarae quests. The hifarae can be done less than 5 hours, it does not have a season requirement and wasn't meant to take 9 hours. But someone decided to. Bah. I tire of this. explode.gif

BTW. I have eternal hate for you, alt hopper without something good to do.

EDIT:

Oh, tweet: Siam swore for the FIRST time.
Krellan2010-07-23 17:58:10
i got my whole set of epics done in like 12 hours including sleep time. But that's mostly cause Albiorix did the hard part and was cool enough to let me finish.

@Lendren gravity and nexus distort is the way to go. Make sure it's not shrine distort. Other than making those things your first moves, that's it.

Oh and just so I don't disappoint you, you're an idiot

Guildhall raiding is not a big deal. The most that can be done there is killing a guild tutor. While lame, it doesn't overly inconvenience anyone for a long period of time.

Posting about laying off is about as effective as posting about the inherent non-roleplay of ingame racial discrimination. Hint: not effective. The proof is in the pudding for such 'promises'. No one is going to believe what you post on these forums especially when you have a history of going back on this supposed word literally the next day. Also makes your comrades look bad (me).

Epic quest griefage happens, if hifarae enemied each side (gromagh/centaurs) and treated each as enemy territory, there would be much more tears then than what is apparently happening now. The only way there would be more is if TBC enemied. Just use the tree bridges for now.

If there are no time of day/month restrictions, I don't get why it takes so many hours to do one quest. I did our side of the Hifarae quest in about an hour or so.

Serenwilde would be more sympathetic if we weren't already tired of the pain caused by Glomdoring. Yes, it's a vicious cycle. No, I don't like it any more than you do.

You could always petition the admin to make centaurs and spawn enemy. You know, so people can't stop you.

Edit: No, I'm not serious. I'm being facetious.

Hello there. Sadly people can go lulz I can kill your quest mob+rolleyes+bahahahaha+omg I forgot my wyvern.

Sounds familiar?

I assume it didn't bug out on you and caused you to fail your first two spawns, did it? I also assume no one went lulzletsdeclareiasmos or lulzimmgaplaymyalttofrustratejoo, too. Obviously, you didn't have to wait for the killed mob to respawn, and then wait again cause someone did the other side. Clearly it is a good comparison.

Because we're not doing your side. We're doing the other side. Which takes longer.

Gromagh's part in the quest resets completely when she is killed.
Razenth2010-07-23 18:09:35
I can't imagine doing the Glom side. Stupid grass...
Unknown2010-07-23 18:14:39
Obviously, I understand it taking longer when interference occurs. I was wondering about the time when done beginning to end without the mess.

Your frustration is justified. However, there are some who just see it as "turnabout is fair play." Not so much fun, right? tongue.gif

As a small aside, our Moon bubble quest was bugged for quite a long time (and it still could be, for all I know).
Razenth2010-07-23 18:15:11
Is it? I did it start to finish recently and I smelled no bug.

EDIT: Moon quest is fuuuuuuuuun. Why aren't more quests like that?

It will be bugged forever. -secret curse seal-

I said "it could be" because I don't know if it still is or not. I had to wait several days until it came around again, and others have said the same thing, though I've not heard it for a while.
Krellan2010-07-23 18:25:19
I feel like these bug fix posts should be renamed. Maybe something like Boo Boo Band-Aides. Aww Seren got a boo boo? Mommy Estarra will kiss it better.

o The Flame of Glinshari will prevent Nature Flow from working in
Serenwilde by non-commune members (prime ony). Likewise, the
Drums of the Dead will work similarly in Glomdoring. (Note: this
restriction is lifted if the Flame or the Drums are down!)

Happy ending for everyone.

Glom has a new griefing target! BRING DOWN THE FLAME!
Furien2010-07-23 18:28:49
I'm getting more and more baffled by the Aeromancer report as I hear about how they perform in combat.

Moon Bubble? It's not bugged anymore. I just completed it.
Unknown2010-07-23 18:29:03
There are only three sweetgrass items per hour. You need nine centaurs to impregnate Gromagh. That is already 3 hours of quest work. Then, you have to get the Sickle, which can last for around thirty minutes up to an hour. Overall, the Gromagh side of the Hifarae quest is 4 hours. Killing Gromagh resets all of that.

Ta da!

Yes, let's say things that will rouse ye olde posts about when Glom was first opened and how Mamma Vira would save it. Let's have 'nother round of it, boys!
