It's another Vitas rant-- I have no idea how he founds out when people are idle. Turnus left himself AFK for a minute to prep dinner, and Vitas teleported in, decapped, and spored out. At least this time it was someone who has been in combat. Usually it's some new/lowbie who is browsing through shops or the library. He preys mostly on them. But he only does it when people are idle so that they have absolutely no chance.

It really is dickery.

Oh, yeah. He tried that on a guest in the guild shop the other day. glare.gif Granted, it was Tedd, but it wouldn't matter if it was a 5 minute-old character, he'd still do it. Maybe he'll get bored soon...

I'm kind of tempted to just afk a lot now at the top of Moon Falls, with a trigger to TOUCH FLAME; UP every time I see Vitas start a teleport on me.

I'm surprised he hasn't tried Aubrey yet. Often it will look like I'm afk when I'm not, because I'm writing scrolls in notepad or something like that which doesn't require me to enter commands into Lusternia itself. Then again, I usually do that in the manse or on a mono. tongue.gif

He's gone after people browsing in shops too, which is not AFK, but involves standing in one place and often not paying attention to what's immediately happening because you are looking at the wares. I'm not necessarily dissing the "teleport in, kill, teleport out" tactic, it's the fact that he specifically targets those who are idle because he knows there will be no resistance. And he even goes after lowbies. It's cheap, it's dirty, and it's downright embarrassing.

It was pretty lame, but eh. Its also pretty preventable and 1 or 2% from a conglut death is hardly anything thanks to aetherhunting.

After the initial wtf moment wore off, doesn't really bother me much to be honest.
