Am I the only one who finds it conceptually awkward that "revolts" run on a predictable schedule...?
I suppose it's necessary so that one org or another doesn't get screwed because no one's logged in, but I find it amusing all the same.

I don't think it was really intended that they be predictable, it's just the emergent properties of the various changes made back when they would revolt based on a bunch of weird factors, one at a time, sometimes but not always simultaneously, and last for 8+ hours if it was heavily contested enough.
Esano2010-07-26 07:05:50
They were set on a schedule when they were grouped. Prior to that, they would revolt separately, based on feelings, and end up like Dairuchi does now.
And, Felicia, I don't believe you can predict them to that level of accuracy.

Generally, what you can predict is just which village goes next and vaguely at what time of the week depending on when the last one occured. The next revolt should be friday/saturday next week, and so forth.

I think it would be kind of neat if there were visual clues the village is getting close to revolting. Like, stockpiles of pickets and torches would show up in the verbose room description a few days ahead. And the villagers would occasionally have emotes where they're whispering with each other and glancing furtively about and stuff.
It'd be kinda cool and not really any different, except that folks could say, "I saw the folks in Delport acting kinda fishy. I bet they're planning on revolting soon!" Instead of "Delport is due to revolt soon." Which you could say anyhow if you wanted (I would prefer it, personally! It sounds better) but this way you also get to see nifty pre-revolt unrest when you visit the village!

...I've forgotten what seriously bashing as a caster was like without Destruction. Why're you so painful to do.

I wish religious influencing villages had anywhere near as much impact on their feelings as conquest seems to.

Also, 6 day old characters, who are obvious alts, logging on, posting about elections (coincidently in the same manner as the dismissed issues I just had filed on me), then logging off. Don'tchu love metagamers?

This election is a waste of time, and unnecessary.
But damn, there's a new Gossip out and it's living up to expectation! Good job person, keep writing.

The Charm of the Clangoru is not nearly as effective as I thought it would be. I still hit tipsy in 2 sips of whiskey even being a dwarf + the charm.
Not really worth $30

Rikenfriez does not revolt. It is Glomdoring's personal vacation resort, commissioned by Talan and Narynth.

There is?! I haven't seen it yet!
Also yeah, this election is a real pain in the neck. Thanks, Egran

You should issue and have their IP blocked.

Not like Celest is any better. We just fight silently.

That has only been in Magnagora since... the game started more than 5 years ago...

I've been playing this game for about 3-4 of those years, and I've never seen it before.
