How is it not working with m&m? It works fine for me except the affs window thingie, but that is the drawback of being on a non-stable release *shrug*

What is the affs window? Is that the olive green box in the lower right hand corner? I was trying to figure out what that was for.

No, for me, on pre6, I got some system spam when I imported it that looked like either errors or code not being compiled/interpreted and just being printed to the output. I'll try to create a seperate install tonight and send the results to Vadi to look at, if they happen again.

What exactly do you mean by this - I'm having the same problems as the above person. Do you mean click the map button, then remove the mapper script, then reimport the mapper .xml file?

Click the map button; open the scripts window, open the Mapper folder, and click through each of the scripts. By selecting and deselecting them, you are reinitiating the script. It will probably work then.

Thanks! I think I have it working. Although Elostian was trying to talk to me on oto this morning while I was working on it and Mudlet kept freezing while I was trying to figure out the right steps. tongue.gif

It's a neat tool, although I second the opinion that it can be hard to read. The 3D model seems more useful as a learning tool, especially with Hallifax, being able to add and remove layers and figure out exactly how the place is put together.

Yeah, it's the olive thing. And the code you are probably referring to is caused by that, it just shows once and then it is fine, unless you open the trigger window or such then sometimes it also pops up, but there's nothing really broken. Well, except the affs window not doing its thing. I just preferred my mapper and gmcp support over it.

So I can get the mapper to install and work, and speedwalk somewhere if I click on the map...but what are some commands I can do with the mapper installed? Can I find documentation for it somewhere?
Vadi2011-01-04 16:58:08
goto #, room find , mstop, mpp. All of the aliases are visible in the Mudlet Mapper alias folder.

The mapper has been updated to work with Mudlet 2.0+ snapshots and continue smoothly should it be set offcourse (it did before, but it would be confused on each room. Now it won't be): http://forums.mudlet.org/viewtopic.php?f=1...mp;p=6264#p6264

Seems buggy to me, I use 1.2.0 pre6, and I switched to the newest snapshot just to make sure it wasn't pre6:

Hey, that's the same purple I like using. happy.gif
Vadi2011-01-24 00:13:49
Fixed that problem

Is there any hotkey to switch between the mapper side of the window and the text side quickly? Or any hotkeys at all to work with the mapper?

EDIT: Also, any way we can make the mapper 'remember' rooms, like landmarks?
Unknown2011-01-27 20:12:54
It would be nice if, after double clicking a room name in the mapper, it would return focus to the command prompt.

No hotkeys at the moment. Didn't code in landmarks yet, though that'd be done on the Lua side - so anyone with skills could do that and contribute smile.gif

That is a good idea. Should post it in the mapper thread on Mudlet forums.

Does the newer version have any provision for handling manses, special exits like "enter archway", or other necessary stuff that's not in the XML map, yet?
Vadi2011-02-03 23:57:53
Latest Mudlet snapshot does handle special exits, but I didn't add neat mapping aliases into the xml yet. Some people have figured out and already started on them though.

Updated again: wiki.mudlet.org/w/IRE_mapping_script now you can recommend it to newbies, it'll swim properly.
Dynami2011-05-31 00:13:02
Is there anyway to toggle the speedwalking function if you scry for someone using the Magical Map of Mystery?
Vadi2011-05-31 01:18:39
mmp.gotoRoom(room id) will go to a room
