Subj: Exciting New Patterns!

We are very pleased to announce that we have added several new patterns
to the options in tailoring.

First, you can now make a 'suit' as a highfashion garment. Hopefully
this will complement the 'gown' pattern!

Second, you can now create both suits and gowns as either great "robes"
or splendour "robes"! Yes, these items can be enchanted to the level you
would expect of a greatrobe or splendour robe. Please note that these
versions are a separate pattern (the "twinkling" variety), so be careful
to select the pattern that you intend to use!

We hope that these new options will be as exciting for you and for other
non-trademasters as they are for us!

For I am particularly excited about it myself, I shall give it its own topic. wub.gif The new option, and I can't wait to actually see to using it if the powers-that-be heed my plea for them to cover the head with protection as well.

Considering head protection is fairly important and all, I'm way way WAY hoping they agree to putting it in rather than me having to wear like, a skullcap to protect my head just to wear my dandy e-suit. Pretty plz, oh mighty e-beings?! -hope-

That's AWESOME! ohmy.gif I'm gonna make a spiffy little suit for Ongaku! I need to make a Furrikin suit design. :3

Does that mean you can fight in a tux? That sounds awesome.
Xiel2010-05-18 06:27:26
If you don't mind the lack of head protection currently, certainly. But until I hear about it going in to protect heads, I don't think people will stray away from robes yet.

win

it's a suit right?
Aramel2010-05-18 09:45:31
I've been wanting splendour gowns for years. Designing time!

(Which will also be a chance to use less silk in the design, considering the expense. ninja.gif )

Edit: Wait, will we get to RAISE HOOD (or the equivalent thereof) on these?

I think there is a forging pattern of a club as a walking stick.

Gowns as splendours?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Ileein2010-05-18 12:39:03
Yesss. Tailors, I expect you to make lots of lovely suits in which to clad the various pieces of delicious manflesh of Lusternia. (I have a wedding coming up, uh, eventually, and robes are just so passe.)

Splendour gowns have existed since the beginning, however, due to a problem with the basic template having a few flags out of place, they were not enchantable. As such, they were not really used.

Yes, I made one of those, actually. Was sad when it didn't work. Will it now work retroactively?

The design will work. Existing replicas may not, but bug that if it comes up!

We're hoping they'll address that soon since these designs don't protect the head currently. Elsewise, these patterns will exist strictly as arpee things rather than all-around things, which will make me sad.

Splendour hats/veils, go.

Totally just had this odd mental image of a splendour enchanted turban.

Head protection, plz.
