Out of curiosity, does this count for all characters across all IRE games, or does each subscription limited to one of the games? Not that I play any of them anymore. I don't think I'd even bother picking them back up honestly.

No, sorry, each game has its own membership program.

What about the middle of the month question?

Having done the math (sloppily, but well enough to suffice), these memberships will end up being at least twice as efficient as buying a non-sale 2,000-credit package, especially after you reach 150 credits per month. That's not including the permanent 10% discount and maximum 25% experience bonus. Even if all of your characters are omnitrans, it's still easily worthwhile for the credits and dingbats alone.

Use Skillflex, trans more trades!

The advent of Skillflex calls for new terminology.

I'm going to call it Omnitransflexed.

I wonder about this as well.

Same-game only, I presume... But not 100% sure. You're purchasing from Lusternia website, not IRE. You're paying Lusternia, not IRE (yes I know it's the same thing, but still)...

Edit: Oh Estarra answered.

Obviously not the official answer, but my guess is it goes every 30 days renewal like most games that have memberships.

While I like the idea, $25 a month seems a little high. They should have an option that is like half as good for $13 a month, so that it's on par with other MMO games. I think that would get a lot more people on board!

I agree. Either an option with lower numbers for a cheaper price, and/or an option to have the same stuff, but only on one character.

I like the idea though, I'd definitely consider it if I was confident I was going to stick around for a long time. It looks to be of decent value when compared to the standard credit packages.

Dingbats appear immediately. Credits and lessons do not. All I know so far.

That would be awesome, actually.

If you only play one character, paying for the multi-character-stuff is not as appealing!

No biggie. smile.gif Follow-up question though, adding any new characters onto my e-mail address will add them to the membership, correct?

And as a follow-up question to that, will adding new characters to the membership cause them not to be deleted while inactive? Or does this only affect the character that the membership was purchased under?

And yes, when do the credits appear?

CREDIT REPORT will tell you how many credits are hanging out (somewhere, I xfered mine to Ardmore before I looked)
Then you CREDITS MEMBERSHIP TRANSFER , which will then turn into bound credits for your character, and be non-moveable to alts (afaik)

If I were to sign up for this in say the middle of the month, would I lose the first 14 or so days of credits/lessons or would I automatically get them ?

It's my understanding that the first time you purchase, you immediately get your first month of credits. Then, PayPal takes over and automatically bills once a month (I believe on the date of your purchase or as close as possible). In other words if you bought on the 15th of the month, you'll be charged every 15th of the month and that's when you'll get the membership credits and dingbats. I'll try and confirm if this is right or not, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

This is a new feature through PayPal and we're relying on how they handle subscriptions!

Will membership have any effect on city credits like buying creds does?
Rael2010-05-26 01:13:26
Well it seems to me that it is almost pointless to purchase credits the old fashioned way now. In most cases you could enroll to multiple subscriptions (ie: buy 3 memberships) for a period of one month and still come out ahead.

This is assuming that the membership is available on any given month and it is legal to stack memberships. It would be depressing to be shrubbed because you spent a lot of money stacking memberships.

There is also the issue where if I know somebody's email and don't like them very much I can pay $25 (or nothing if they already own a membership) and get them banned even if it's only temporarily.

I realize these are weird and convoluted situations but it's just something to think about.
Aramel2010-05-26 01:14:59
Echoing the no-delete flag question - will we get it for all characters under the subscription?
