Yeah, I don't see this stopping me from buying credits. Selling credits for gold is my #1 method of obtaining gold really.
Sarrasri2010-05-26 01:25:15
It just gives you a perma-deal on buying credits if you do continue to buy them.

Yeah, good point! With this, I'm actually more likely to buy credits.

Still think you should get an ELITE emote and/or item or something.

SWIPE CARD (a la Ascend)
Incabulos begins to swipe an iron card of elite membership through the air.
Incabulos finishes swiping an iron card of elite membership through the air, opening up a small doorway to a lavish lounge. He steps through, and the doorway promptly snaps shut in a puff of gold smoke.
Leads to special lavish lounge which is peaced, exit goes to Aetherplex or something.
Pretty please? :>

IRE conspires against my bank account.
Sarrasri2010-05-26 02:27:17
I'm pretty much getting this because it will help me spend less and not more on credits. With getting credits and lessons all the time, it lessens my need to buy credits for all my alts just to learn stuff. So I'm happy.
Xavius2010-05-26 02:50:40
The math definitely works out favorably, even for one character.
At normal rates, $25 buys you 62.5 credits. Even your first month, you get 100 bound credits, 25 credits worth of lessons (if you log in daily), and 20 non-sticky dingbats (so roughly 30cr worth of gold, if that's your primary motivation for credit purchases). That's ~155 credits vs. 62 credits, or a 60% discount. That's your first month with one character. It gets better with more months and more characters. I can't find a real disadvantage, aside from fewer mentors getting that neat and often unexpected credit kickback. Even the loss of bonus lessons from credit binding doesn't come close to this.

I bought it and tied it to my alt's name, and my mentor got 15 credits from it. Not sure if it's intentional, but thought that was cool, because I like that my mentor gets credits.
Riluna2010-05-26 02:55:52
If you can't afford to do it every single consecutive month, does the cumulative bonus reset?
For example, if I bought one month in June, and then had to wait until August before buying another month, would August still count as the "second" month (i.e. 105 bound credits?)

No, sorry, if you skip a month, it resets the membership.

I find paypal very confusing and odd, personally and would've preferred if it could've been done without the go between.
But it seems neat for now, will keep it for the summer since I wont be able to work in the UK.

Can you stack membership? As in, purchase multiple concurrent memberships?
What? It would still be less than my usual expenditure.

I haven't had for the last year. But in two months, my car will be paid off. I'm so ready for that I could cry.

I know, right? My last payment is June. Woo!
(Sadly, it's a bit of a balloon payment, and I'm not quite sure how to swing it yet.)

Work full time, don't eat much, and living in really crappy housing.

This. XD I don't make a great deal of money, but I get awesome bonuses, and none of my benefits have a monthly premium.

My only regret is that this didn't come out when the Aussie dollar was better.
