The two Nekotai help files were written when we first started the guild up, way back when we had very little IG basis for our lore (the only thing told to us by the admins was a) Nekotai is a fae word meaning 'bringer of Sorrow' and 
we're somehow linked to the Scorpion Sphere). The 'history' of the guild was created entirely by Veyda/Kaervas/Ashteru and I. Once the Scorpion Caverns were released, Veyda and I were excited and decided to go with the Scorpion version of things (incorporate the Spirit into the Nekotai to some degree or another) because it had been only a few months since the guild's release and nobody really attached an 'idea' to us one way or another. This included a revamping of the guildhall to better reflect the origins of the martial art in question. We should've rewritten the two original help files as part of this revamping, and this problem would have never existed... in any case, the player-built culture is rich and will be continued regardless of what two player-written help files state or what Wise Lady says (or doesn't say).
