QUOTE (Sylphas @ Jun 13 2010, 03:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Please point out to me where I ever denied being involved with the lynch on Solanis in that post, or in any post after it.

Fits better below. Read there.

QUOTE
Or with "pumping people for information" as you put it. I have freely admitted each and every time.

That's how you put it, actually. I borrowed that phrase from you, yourself, back when you were trying to decide who to lynch:

QUOTE
That's seven of eight. I'd like a clarification on whether he's toast at the deadline anyway or if it'll go no lynch. And Solanis might not be the best person to pump for info with the deadline, now that I think about it. It's 4:12 AM in eastern Australia and the deadline is in 4 hours or so. Do we want to pile on someone who is actually awake?

QUOTE
Post #206 was me being a moron and not double checking what I actually did day one and blatantly lying about my vote because my memory is terrible. Beyond that, still no denial of my involvement, unless you think voting is the only possible involvement you can have with something.

That's actually how I read your initial "defense" against it (when you denied voting). It's also the reason I'm not entirely convinced it was just a mistake that you forgot. I mentioned how I found your motives for being involved in the lynch suspicious, and you respond with "My vote never went to Solanis" as being some sort of proof that you had no such motivations.

At least you're admitting that it was "a blatant lie". At mafiascum, where I learned how to play, one of the most common policy lynches is "Lynch All Liars". Can you understand why?

QUOTE
Post #207 you explicitly state that you are suspicious of the reasoning behind my actions, i.e. that I was trying to pump people for information. Also, you get defensive about me accusing you of hammering people when I had never actually done so, merely stated my reasoning behind pumping people for information.

Sure, I can read it that way, now that you mention it. For the sake of clarity, in the future, could you not state your reasoning in the form of a question directed at me then? That's not being me being defensive. You asked me a question, I answered, and then you asked the same question again. Naturally, I was curious why.

QUOTE
Post #209 is absolutely ridiculous on reread. You say that we should ask questions, yet when I asked "Did anyone find anything out?" I'm accused of role fishing and have been pressured for almost two pages because of it. Again you accuse me of trying to reveal every power role as fast as possible, even though any rational reading of this topic proves I did no such thing. You're reading my question to suit your ends.

Ask questions, yes. But it has been pointed out, and not by me, exactly why that particular question can be viewed as role fishing. Alone, like I said before, that isn't much, perhaps. However, in combination with the way you ended Day 1 focused on role information, that's just how it sounded with your Day 2 opening. Anyway, this is not even a very big part of why I'm so suspicious of you, not at all. Just what raised the original alarm bells in my head.

QUOTE
Post #227 you add on suspicions about how I reacted to you. I'm not sure what you expected me to do. I have clarified myself time and again.

First said it in #209, actually. One of your first reactions to all of this, (in post 208) was to accuse me of trying to run a train on you. I still can only read this as being overly paranoid as there is still no train on you.

QUOTE
By #234 you're on about how I'm trying to get out of my involvement with Solanis's lynch. I keep saying the same things, and you keep finding more ways to cast suspicion on me each time I say the same thing. You're either scum trying to take down a townie who made a mistake or an overzealous townie with nothing else to dig into. It's probably the latter, but just so I'm not accused of hopping on a later on and trying to look innocent, I'll go ahead and Vote: Riluna and let everyone else decide which you are. It's better than sitting on Siam because of his HoN RP mistake.

I'm confused. You don't find me suspicious, but you're voting for me anyway? chin.gif
Riluna2010-06-13 09:49:05
Anyway, I've been told I'm prone to tunneling before, and maybe that's what I'm doing now, especially with little activity from most people. I'll quiet down for a while, and see what happens with everybody else.

Just one question first, Sylphas. How did you set up those links to the specific post like that? That seems very handy, and I'd like to be able to do it.

It is nothing concrete enough for me to vote for him, a FoS maybe ... but not a vote. I really don't see what he posted on the start of today as particularly scummy either.

Eeni, meani, mini, moe.
Vote: Furien.
Coin toss really between Van and Fur. Not a 'I got a scum vibe' vote. Something to maybe encourage them to join in.

QUOTE (Riluna @ Jun 12 2010, 08:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Define how you're using Fos and voting, please? I find this curious. The way I was taught to play is not that a vote is an "upgrade" from a FoS, but that FoS is for when you're already voting somebody, and another person is also acting suspicious. Basically, a way of saying, "I'm not going to move my vote, just yet, but I've got my eye on you, too".

Please show me where I did an FoS while voting for someone. Check the time stamps,12 hour time difference between the FoS maybe and when I put a vote down on an inactive. Sylphas has provided more than enough for people to make an opinion on him while we have others who haven't posted anything since the new day started now three days ago on the 10th . Normally when people start to get votes, they wake up and join the play.

For those who might have forgot ( I have put this in many of the games I played here ). Dugan works 10 hour shifts. On Sat/Sun Dugan is up at 5 am and back after 6pm.

You're misunderstanding the question. I'm well aware that it isn't what you did. That's my point. That's just what I was shown that it meant, and I'd like to know what it actually means to you, and how you're using it, since it's clearly different than the way I was taught. It will help if I can understand how you're playing.

This is what I put in originally.

QUOTE (Dugan Diluculo @ Jun 12 2010, 05:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Shrinking down the long post to the part I wanted. Out of all the stuff out, I do agree that this on his part was bad. It is nothing concrete enough for me to vote for him, a FoS maybe ... but not a vote. I really don't see what he posted on the start of today as particularly scummy either.

I don't have time to check this morning, but have we heard from everyone at least once so far today?

FoS - Finger of Suspicion. His actions, even to now are not concrete enough for me to vote for him, a FoS maybe … but not a vote. His words that he used on day 1 were not the best he could have and no I don't particularly find him acting scummy … I see him more of a new player who does not fully grasp some of the commonalities that occur in mafia games. I can recall my own first experiences and got jumped on for asking about the sun traveling across the sky and everyone going nuts saying I was trying to rush the day.

My next post for the day (12ish hours later) …

QUOTE (Dugan Diluculo @ Jun 12 2010, 05:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Well, that still leaves two people who have yet to post for day 2. Vandetta and Furien. If it isn't too much of a bother ... think you can at least post something so we know you have a pulse.

And then with my vote for Furien right after. The reason for the vote … the start of pressure. Good, bad or indifferent everyone has a grasp on Sylphas. Since this game has started, we have Vendetta with a whopping 4 posts and Furien with 6. Thats total posts made out of the 13 pages so far. Why let them have a free pass for another day. I am not saying at all that Furien should be lynched over Sylphas. In the past when people get votes they join the discussion. All I want is the people who signed up to post and to play. I picked those two out of the list cause they have yet to post on day 2. Everyone else has posted at least once today.

I'm inclined to vote for someone who hasn't posted at all Day 2. I can understand that it's hard on the weekends (and as a heads-up I'm out of town the next 2 weekends, but I'll try to at least post something from blackberry), but now we're back in the week.

No kidding. Everyone seems so excited to sign up and then when the game is underway, POOF.

While we can get into a longer discussion later about Sylphas/Riluna discussion, I'd rather go after the inactives for right now to try to get them involved again in the game.

Since according to the list Dugan posted Vendetta has the least amounts of posts, I'm going to:

Vote: Vendetta

Unknown2010-06-15 16:48:20
Yeah, I kind of stopped reading into things much once I didn't understand the majority of the early posts, and I'm sure this happened with many other people too. I'm not playing with a ton of investment here! Just peeking in every day for a quick look over things.

Will obviously AFK less if more pressure is applied, though I don't think I'll have much to add or say.

At least you posted, yay! Hopefully we can bring some other people back the same way and get the game moving again.

Unvote.

Oops, forgot to cast my vote for the other person who has posted today yet.

Vote: Furien

Hard to get involved really. We have nothing to go on, except a competition between Sylphas and Riluna on way too many words, and lots of references to a game that apparently takes itself way too serious. I'm stumped.

Its as only as hard as you make it. Pick a point and go with it. Yes, the stuff between Sylph and Ril went on and on. You must not agree with Ril too much cause you never voted for Sylph as scum. Say so, I did. You have people who have only posted four things this entire game ... call them on it. There are things that can be done ... unless you want every day to end with the mod having to call a deadline.
Sylphas2010-06-16 16:54:27
About to start voting inactives. Or someone say something stupid to argue over, I guess. It's silly that as soon as Riluna and I stop talking it goes deathly silent.
Unknown2010-06-16 17:28:46
I don't fully agree with Riluna's attack on Sylphas, and for one reason or other, I think if either of them turns out to be mafia, considering the nature of the attack, we should be suspicious of the other. Mafia distancing themselves and all, you know.

Also guys, I'm totally not mafia. Just trust me on this one.

That's what we'd all like to say!

Vote: Dynami, for the time being. Maybe we can argue and both talk more as a result.
