Map isn't balanced for 12v3, this could be 7v8 for all we know, which is damned little. Although that'd hard for town to get anywhere with. What's the standard number of mafia for this size game?

While it never made anyone scum for sure, it did show em how they could be scum. It's easy to avoid, but only if you actually think about it. You didn't. Everyone else afterwards will have thought of it because it has now been blared out loud like a boat horn.

If it even works once. I was under the impression that the "third voter = scum" was mostly a joke, anyway, and when it did work, it's after a lynch, where we know they were town. Why so defensive about it, Solanis?

I didn't realise I was coming off as that defensive.
@Gleip: I would have thought that from previous games, the trap would have been sprung aages ago. (Not that I thought of it, I on-the-spur-of-the-moment voted Arix cause Furien voted him three posts above because I wanted to get the game going (it was going stagnant). If I had actually looked at who had voted who... it would have been pretty obvious that I would become the third voter.
I only kept mentioning the thirdvoterisscum because that's the only real(?) discussion we've had.

Am I going to have to go research this all over the internets? I thought it was kind of an easy question for our veterans. We've got 15 people, anyone have an estimate of how many scum there are? Might not matter day one with nothing to go on, but I'm curious.

Except you didn't think about it from previous games. And it wasn't the only real discussion we had. People were picky on Arix, and picky on people for voting for Arix. Both of those were, IMO, far more prevalent than third voter, which you got all crazy over.
Also, according to Kira at least, mafia games should have between 25 and 33 percent scum. With less only happening if the scum is very overpowered (or cult), and more only going if Town has a lot of powerful, straightforward roles.

I think in standard mafia there are 12 people, 3 total. We have 15 so probably 3-4 mafia and maybe a serial killer and/or cult. Though I remember one game that only had a cult, I think. no one died, they were just converted.

Looking back, everyone who has voted for me (besides Synl's(Salvation) first random vote) used thirdvoterscum as justification.
