I like that series. The Xanthe (sp?) series is even better.
The first 10 or so books were GODLY. The 20 or so after it have been killed by his desire to please the fans and the fans (or there parents) complaining.
I recently went Barnes & Nobles and bought:
The Complete Sherlock Holmes
Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned
Sun Tzu's The Art of War
Alice in Wonderland and Trough the Looking Glass
all on the bargain shelf.
Also bought Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman (his only non-child book I didn't have (that I can find))
Also bought this summer:
Wicca A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner
A Literary Companion that was said to be really good by the guy at the register
Lost Civilizations
Hmm... and I just re-finished Rant (even better the second time around (probably best the third time around )(can't wait for the sequels to come out!)
And I occasionally read/use for research:
Book of Poisons
The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Mythology
Plus I have books I need to read for college (The Postman being the only one that's a novel (but one book it of essays, which (with luck) might be like short stories... (/hope))
Which I didn't move from Hawaii and have to leave my books behind
Post Scriptum: Read Neil Gaiman's American Gods

I've started on the WoT books and to be honest, I am only at book 6 and am already tired of it. I read almost a book a day, speed reading for the win! Anyway, I prefer historical books as opposed to anything else. I've an obsession with the War of the Roses and the Tudor dynasty. I also read the classics I love over at least once a year...Jane Austen, Lewis Carroll.
I've only read Stardust by Gaiman, but I may take the advice of Thendis and check out American Gods.

Just got done reading Namaah's Curse, it was pretty decent.

I'm on the third book of the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson. My mother in law originally got the books from me as they were on her wishlist and so she thought it only fit that I'd read them as well. Not a genre I'd usually pick up myself but I've been happily surprised by how damn good they are.

I recently went NUTS on ebay and ordered a ton of books I've wanted for awhile.
The Red Queen- Phillipa Gregory
Farewell My Queen- Chantal Thomas
Eleanor the Queen- Norah Lofts
The Devil's Queen- Jeanne Kalogridis (once again, see a theme there? haha)
For the man I got-
The First Law Trilogy- Joe Ambercrombie
Earthsea set- Ursula Guin
In the Time of Heaven and In a Time of Treason - David Keck
The Magicians- Lev Grossman
Acacia - David Anthony Durham
I seriously should be restricted from ebay.

Reading the Riftwar Saga and the Percy Jackson books. Also still slowly reading Shake Hands with the Devil.

Reading a series of books written by Lois Bujold... never heard of the author before, but the books are good. The Vorkosigan series.
I started with The Warriors Apprentice, then the Vor Game, then Cetaganda
(roughly the internal chronological order... they were written in different order)

Reading the Riftwar Saga
Eee! I love those books! Don't stop with just those books. The next few books are kinda slow, but his righting skills continue to develop for quite some time. His newest book is easily my favorite.
