As a Lovecraft fan, I have to say that I don't see much of a similarity between the mythos cultists and the Illuminati. The mythos cults are all about currying favor with cosmic horrors that will kill you and shatter your perception of reality.
The Illuminati seem more like platonic idealism than anything from Lovecraft. The physical world that you see before you is unreal and there is an ideal world behind it that contains the truth about the universe. Which, honestly, isn't creepy.
Just transmology, which is unadulterated creepy.

Could someone please give details on what the Robes ability actually does? Unclear AB is annoying. Thanks.

Cosmic Planes are all divine wombs. I'm certain Estarra's said before that while Continuum is a dead creche - IE everyone's all grown up and left - Vortex is, instead, an unborn plane, one of the last places Dynara created before She left to find the Nameless Son. So full of potential!
So they're not actually half-formed? Interesting.

So would that make the Supernals and the Demon Lords like... teenage Gods or something? >.>

I'm assuming the transformations caused by Transmology become arpee mechanics which show up on IG descriptions too. Thus, I'm guessing the Robes hide that stuff - a 10p vanity skill, unless someone can clarify it for me too.

They do. Seraku had some up earlier and at the very end of his desc, it said something like "His eyes are silver and his hands have claws." It even showed up in the painting I did of him. The robes, therefore, would mask those and not show anything at the end of the desc, I would imagine.

I take a bit of issue with the Spheres just requiring cut gems to fill, whereas the Fleshpots require a limited and slow process of miniquesting. It just seems imbalanced...
ongaku2010-06-28 04:41:08
If it just takes cut gems to fill, maybe I should skillflex Xaakin for Jewelry as well as Artisan. >.>

According to Doman, all you have to do is throw in the matching gem. Garnet goes in your Garnet sphere.

Did the admin not give Harmonics wings on purpose? Don't we need wings to fly to kill and get the crystals in the Matrix in order to empower the Continuum polyhedrons?
Eventru2010-06-28 04:43:41
Right. Fleshpots are the beginning point - Dynara took a hot, muscled chest from one, a sexy, strong masculine nose from another, a firm, manly jawline from a third, two big, thick, drool-inducing arms from another, sexy violet eyes from yet another, some firm, seksay man-legs from that fleshpot, and some tender, gentle hands from this fleshpot, so on and so forth, and then.....
made an Eventru! (Who didn't see that coming?)
And yes, I feel like I say this once a week. Elohora is a super cool, chic, naked teenager who is so awesome the sun shines out of her butt - and every other part of her body.
Had Dynara hung around, she'd have made gods on Vortex. And angel-sort of beings. And, had She hung around, Elohora would have ended up an Elder God - as would Raziela, Ashtorath, Nifilhema, Gorgaliel, Luciphage, Baalphegar, etc etc etc.
And, somewhere out there in the broad, vast multiverse of Lusternia, there's a creche - much like the Continuum - where Eventru came from. And one where Fain came from. One where Elfenehoala and Lisaera came from. Etc etc etc.

You do, but that only gets the city power. The Researchers don't actually have anything to do with the polyhedrons at all, weirdly enough. I don't even think they call out when people kill them.

I knew that the cosmic planes were creches, but I wasn't sure if the Supernals/Demon Lords were like demigods (in that they would eventually have become gods).
But is this something our characters would know in game? Would they know that the cosmic planes were creches in which Gods were born? I've brought it up as Gaku before, but I worried after doing so that it might not be something that mortals would know (even though Gaku's an avid reader of the History of the Elder Wars).
Also, I fear the day when Morgfyre devours you, Eventru. I think it'd turn him into a sparkly Twilight vampire. Or maybe that's Lyreth...

Wow. That does kind of suck. I mean, I like the whole wad idea, I just think Halli should have to do as much work! (Perhaps a bit more since they have to fill out all the paperwork to initiate quests.)
